Ankle protection was a plus!
My son uses these for soccer and has commented on how comfortable they are and how his ankles feel more protected.

Looked small, but…
At first without taking them out of the package, the shin guards were about an inch longer than my daughter’s original shin guard that she’s been using since 6 yrs old. It looked small, so I was ready to order the next size up. I was reading in other reviews that the s/m fits 10-11 year olds perfectly, so I gave them a whirl and as you can see in the pictures in the side by side comparison is that the newer shin guard comes up higher on her shin because the ankle guard is longer, making the shin guard sit higher and covers more area. The ankle guard is well padded and the shin guard has a stiff backing that is covered by cloth. My daughter is larger than others on her soccer team, so this S/M fits her at 5’ tall at 124 lbs. I returned a couple of other shin guards, because they were no bigger than her original ones when she started at 6 years old. Hope this review helps someone else because I was clueless.

I love the fit but the protective padding for your ankle does not stay in place.

Protected my daughters ankles all season and she said they were comfortable and did not shift around under her socks

They fit and are comfortable
Online the slip on shin guards these don't fall down or out of place. They stay up nice and secure with the velcro strap around the calf.

The shin protectors are made of foam
My son prefers hard plastic protecting his shins. This material is foam-squishy. Ankle support seems solid. So if you want hard plastic this is not the product for that.

Looks a lot more sturdy in the image
The images separate sizing but height and age. I went based on height and it’s a great fit.The image looked a lot more study. I was hoping for plastic. Overall, it’ll get the job done
