Komodo Thermostat Pulse 600 w

I haven't been using this for long so I will update my review if anything changes but I'm really happy with it. It's so easy to use, basically you plug in and go, you do need a screwdriver to change the temperature setting but it comes set on 19C which happened to be what I wanted. You can use it for a heat mat or a ceramic heating bulb, but not for a light source. I have it attached to a ceramic bulb and it works perfectly. The price that I paid was really good too and it came with same day delivery which was perfect.

In addition to its memorable name this product does exactly what it is supposed to do - keep my little quail chicks warm at a chosen temperature. Easy to install, solid and safe looking, and precise. My own quail-tests show that it stays at temperature with only minor variation. I am sure it would work as well with Komodo dragons, lizards, snakes and serpents.

Literally a lifesaver if you have your tortoise in a vivarium because someone sold you one as an ideal tortoise habitat, which we all know it isn't! My tortoise was literally climbing the walls trying to get out before we bought this, he now seems much happier.

My fault for not studying the picture closely but this is a straight on / off thermostat.It's full power or no power for a heat mat or lamp.It has proved fine for my requirements. Construction seems solid and feels like it will last well.My findings regarding steady temperature by using an electronic thermometer and watching closely for a while:The on / off switching happens within around 2.2 degrees celsius either side of the selected temperature. i.e. selecting 23 degrees celsius would mean my thermostat came on at around 20.8 and off at around 25.2 (according to my thermometer).I guess this is so the thermostat and whatever it's connected to isn't worn out prematurely by frequent on / off switching.I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of the thermostat's probe: The thermostat has behaved consistently.

There's a UK option for this thermostat, and yet someone ordering something from the UK was given a thermostat with an EU plug. I needed a quick replacement for one of my older thermostats that had unfortunately kicked the bucket and this was the only thermostat with next day delivery, it came battered in a box and is currently unusable to me due to having two plug prongs, this is actually a ridiculous order to receive. Common sense would solve this issue however the seller clearly doesnt think about the customer who are going to be using this product.

The name speaks for its self as a good quality item & reasonably priced compared to similar items by other leading brands.

Love this product, before this thermostat my bulbs get blowing, I bought this and I haven’t had to change the bulb at all and I’ve had this product for a few months now, my only problem would be to change the temperate you have to use a card or a butter knife which is quite annoying.

This works great does what it says on the tin great buy note the temperature on the thermostat may need to be set higher depends on the amount of bed on top of your heat mat definitely recommend 😊
