Won't keep a smart phone charged while using google maps.
During a 45 minute trip my battery went from 38% to 12% while using google maps and being charged. Screen was on automatic. I used the supplied short power cord to my LG VS-958 (?) phone. The lighter output was 14 volts.I've got a vertical power adapter so that helps, but the cigarette lighter mount is plastic and isn't particularly secure. That causes some amplified movement when going over speed bumps and such. Not the fault of the mount. Magnet works fine. Much preferred over the clamps.

Magnet not strong and over all it feels like it is built with cheap plastic.

Not a bad item
For the most part this item works well. The only issue I have ever s that when it is plugged into my lighter socket it has a tendency to roll down by the weight of the phone and I have to continually shift it. Aside from that, it’s all good.
