Bought this compressor. Unfortunately it sat on the shelf for 10 months before I put it to use. When I started it this morning the cheap ass compressor blew all the oil out of the bottom and all over my truck.Warranty is less than 30days. After removing the compressor from the mount the piece of tin that is bolted ( the bottom isn’t cast iron) to the bottom is was warped. BUYER BEWARE THE COMPRESSOR IS REALLY POORLY MADE.

Good well built machine

This is a lower cost gas powered compressor. I had to laugh out loud at the person whose review stated it didn't come filled with oil and needed some assembly. For the record you cannot ship any gas motor containing oil (or gas) as it would be deemed hazardous shipment due to danger of leakage or fire which is also why you can't return gas powered items to Amazon BTW. The manufacturer also doesn't know what you are going to connect it to so it does not come with any connections and WILL NOT WORK or hold pressure until you buy and fit some. I took off 1 star as I am disappointed Amazon doesn't offer to sell you what the average person will need with the unit. The unit comes with quantity 2 of 3/8in NPT Threaded female outlets. If you want to use standard 1/4in NPT Female Quick Air Connects then you will need 2 of "Hex Nipple, 304 Stainless Steel 3/8" NPT Male x 1/4" NPT Male Pipe Fitting Reducer Nipple Adapter". These come in pairs sold by Amazon. You will also need some PTFE thread seal tape to wrap around these nipples to seal in the air when tightened. You will also need quantity 2 of "1/4-in Steel NPT Female Coupler for Air Hose Fittings, Quick Connector Coupler, Industrial Interchange" also sold by Amazon. For the motor you will need a quart of 10W-30 motor oil and some type of filler or tube and filler to get it into the very awkward dip stick/filler hole. The motor takes just over 0.6 quarts. The "Some assembly" consists of removing a little drain plug on the compressor and pushing the sump breather pipe into the hole and the other end into the breather filter on side of the compressor head - takes all of 30s. Once you have bought all the above which will delay your use until you get it all - how does it perform. I work alone and use a gutsy Framing Nailer, Shingle Roofing Nailer, Finishing Nailer and a Stapler. All of my tools operate at 90PSI. This unit was not only able to sustain the use of the Framing Nailer working hard but actually shuts to idle a lot of the time as it has decent storage tank capacity. It is a nice unit and much quieter than I was expecting. My only issue is that it starts first time at the beginning of the day but if you take a break for say lunch it is virtually impossible to start on return. I quickly learned it was because the tank is at full pressure so it is holding the throttle fully closed. If you reach underneath to one or both of the water bleed taps and release all the tank pressure it starts first time. Again not stated anywhere but a full tank of gas lasts around 2 - 3 hours. Overall this is a pretty decent quality machine. I only need it for virgin sites before they get electricity or for building work in the sticks like the building I am working on at the moment that is in thick woodland miles from any utilities. I like the wheelbarrow style layout and it is pretty compact for the power output. Overall I am very pleased with this unit and would recommend it. I have been working mine hard for almost a month and it works great.

Starts easy, sips fuel and is relatively quiet.

This is the 2nd one I own and really like them and have excellent results with them.
