The red tip is just a protective cover, please remove before using the thermometer.

Where is this made and where does it ship from?+

Sorry but I am unable to answer this question. We purchased it a while back and there's nothing stating point of origin on the front or back of the thermometer.

I need this to make yogurt. i noticed that it has a big tm on it. silly question, is that where it needs to be for the right temp (110°)

I'm not sure what the TW stands for, maybe a logo. You need to bring milk up to 180 degrees F (the smaller inside numbers), which is 83 degrees C (the larger numbers on the dial). Then cool it to 115 degrees F, or 46 degrees C. and add the yogurt starter.

Useful for cooking yogurt

It works well for making yogurt. I have used it and am pleased with the results.It's easy to use and just clips on the pan. The dial is large enough to read as well. Yogurt need an accurate temperature.

Works like it’s supposed to!

Temperature dial works exactly like it supposed to. The only thing I don’t love is the clip holds it against the side of the boiler. I have to believe it affects the reading somewhat.

Used for making yogurt.

It worked perfectly on my instapot. Once I figured out how to clip it on. That's on me. But once I got it clipped on right it worked just fine. It's much sturdier than the little digital ones. Worth the money. Seems like my yogurt came out much better with this one. I was able to hang it on the side to watch the temp slowly go up and stirred every 5 or 10 degrees. It made life a lot easier to just be able to let it hang on the side and keep an eye on the temp. With the little digital ones you have to dip it in & then clean it off each time. Well I do. No worry about any thing getting in your yogurt from the constant handling. So yes good product.

Works well and seems quite accurate

A perfect dairy thermometer or all of your needs. I use it for making dairy-free yogurt and it has been wonderful. Hopefully it will last a very long time. It seems good, durable quality.
