I have a sliding compound miter saw whose trigger switch never did work well. After a couple of years, it simply stopped working. I then needed to fix the saw (time consuming), throw it out (money down the drain), or create a work around. I made a heavy duty extension cord with a toggle switch wired in, and that worked, but I needed one hand to control the saw, one hand to steady the work, and a third hand to operate the toggle switch! When my cousin the professional electrician heard about this situation, he recommended this product. This entire switch assembly is extremely well built, and should last well over a lifetime. It allows me to operate my saw, and any other tool, efficiently and safely. You will be able to will this to your grandchild, and he or she will be able to pass it on to another generation.

I'm am glad there is a prewired version now, that is why I held off from ordering one for so long. If you are considering this you are likely ok with some form of diy repairs/tinkering if not, maybe reconsider this product. Knowing what I know now I would still buy for myself. For specifics continue.-I did have to do alot of adjusfing to the pedal before use, because it wasn't activating the switch straight out of the box. It was really more of a "how do I adjust this thing" issue and all I needed was a good screw driver and extra hand, maybe a clamp would have worked too.-The rubber pads on the bottom have indeed been skip over and are not as pictured. I'm honestly not sure if the maybe 1/2" round pads will hold up long.

I have been looking for a switch like this to control my plunge router. Also, I want to be able to use it with my drill press.The switch seems well made, and heavy enough not to flop around on the floor. The only thing I can add to other reviews is that there is a notice in the shipment that the company will pay return shipping on this item if a customer has a problem with it. It's nice that they will stand behind it. Lets hope they don't have to.

I purchased this TEMCo foot switch for a drill press stand I made. It has a ShopVac connected to the foot switch which I can turn on when I need to suck up the metal chips and wood chips when I drill materials. The pedal is very sturdy and works as expected. I recommend it for general electrical items a person would use in a small shop.

I don't write a lot of review (positive or otherwise), but every now and then I come across a product of "super high" quality at the right price, that could not be ignored and give proper commendation to the manufacturer and the company who brought it to market. This is one of those and if you are looking for a foot switch of industrial quality to control your power tools, look for nothing else, this one will surprise you.

It is sturdy and well-made. The one problem is you have to keep the footpedal pressed in order to have power. It will work well with power tools like my tablesaw and bandsaw but not with others when you need constant power and will be moving around.

Use: meat grinder. Very sturdy. Will probably out last the machine & me. LolI plugged in switch cord to wall socket. Plug machine into female plug of foot pedal switch. Machine turned on. No power to machine until u depress foot pedal switch. If u let off pedal. Machine cuts off. Very good.

Really impressed with the build on this. Yes, it's just a foot pedal. However, it's obvious that this is built to last. No cheap plastic, beefy cord, nice non slip foot. It's made my work safer, smoother, more efficient, cleaner right away. Definitely looking forward to having this with my mitersaw/vacuum setup for many years to come!
