TrimaxTG3072SX Supermax Security Armor Plated 72" x 26mm Stainless Steel Locking Cable

We bought this to replace another cable lock that thieves cut that was attached to our snowblower. We will use this when camping for securing our generator and or grill.

Had a trailer stolen using a regular cable lock which can easily cut with your average pair of wire cutters. This thing you'll never get through it with any wire cutters you probably need a grinder. I'm guessing a lock picker could open it up but I don't think a thief is going to take that kind of time. Could be a little longer but I've got $1,000 brand new generator chain to the frame of a travel trailer so it's not going anywhere. Super heavy duty.

Locks looks tuff the head lock is plastic ?? My key not work properly it jams up hard to retrieve it out

The only issue is that the lock becomes more difficult to couple up into the lock carriage after several locking and unlocking. But overall an excellent quality lock chain for large items. We’ve have two $4,000 trailers stolen even with a tongue lock. We weren’t going to take any chances this time. We got two of these longer (6ft) lock chains.

This is a very thick cable. Would have given it 5 stars but 1 of the 3 keys broke the second day I had it. The key with the light on it is very fragile. I use this with my Thule rack and wrap it around the bike twice so it would be very hard to cut this twice and also break the Thule lock. I would buy again but the key and locking mechanism could be higher quality. A great design if they fix these two things. Also this is a covered cable makin it harder to cut. Regular bolt cutters would have a tough time on this but a cutting wheel would defeat. The lock is recessed which would make it hard to pick.

I have my doubts that this lock will hold up- after only 2months old its already starting to corrode/rust on the stainless steel cable portion. The warranty claim does not cover corrosion. I would not purchase again, because of this issue.

Bought this to secure a generator to the back of a pickup truck during tailgating. Works perfectly and gives me peace of mind because it would take a good bit of effort for someone to walk off with my generator.
