Delicious
These are a very sweet and juicy candy. They are full of flavor and have a bit of a crust on the outside with a soft, jelly center. As with most things these days, they are not inexpensive. I keep buying them, so they are worth the money to me.

Yummy English gummies
When my daughter returned home from studying abroad, she had fallen in love with Jelly Babies. Being a good mom, I tried to locate them for her. Amazon had the best price on this European treat. They are a little older than what she is able to bring home with her when she is abroad, but, this is a good way to get them. They are more natural and softer in texture than gummies found in the states.

My favorite candy
I grew up in a family that watched Doctor Who and if you've seen it you know why we had to try these. Not only does that show bring back great childhood memories so does this candy which is good because this is my favorite candy. It's greatness starts when you open the bag and you get that first smell of the candy wafting out... just close your eyes and smell and you know you're in for something fantastic. Each of the six colors has it's own distinct flavor and everyone had a favorite color. They have a soft, jelly inside with a thin coating outside so when you bite into them, just so good. There is no American candy I can compare these to but I've never met someone who didn't like these after trying them. If you've never had them I highly suggest it. If you've had them then you don't need my suggestion because you already know to get them. Also, if someone steps outside of a 1960's blue Police Box and asks if you'd care for a Jelly Baby the answer is always yes.

Reasons why jelly babies are the best candy ever made:
1. Jelly babies are hands down my favourite candy2. Jelly babies are so good I'm certain they are actually mana from heaven. A secret that has been well kept by the British trading company that happened upon them.3. When I die, my only regret will be that I did not eat more jelly babies. Unless my stomach bursts from eating too many jelly babies.4. I ATE FIVE BAGS OF JELLY BABIES IN 6 DAYS. YES, I AM AWARE OF THE METAPHYSICAL CONCEPT OF SHAME.5. These are so good. Why don't real babies taste this good? Oh god I'm going straight to hell for that one.6. I'm no doctor, but I'm certain this candy will cure any illness.7. I've never tried any hard drugs before, but thanks to jelly babies, I don't have to! Addicted to smack? Eat some jelly babies and you'll forget all about that other nonsense!8. All jokes aside, this really is the greatest candy of all time. Each jelly baby has a unique and wonderful flavour, and savouring them is a must. I dare you to eat just one!

A must for Dr. Who fans that like their sweets!
I'm a recently converted "Whovian" harboring an immense curiosity regarding the Fourth Doctor's favorite snack/conversation starter/peace offering of choice (although Beatles George Harrison and Ringo Starr reportedly liked them, which often resulted in fans throwing them at the both of them mid-concert), so I ordered a bag at a decent price. It took its sweet time getting here, but I'd say it's worth it.First off: I don't know what other people were complaining about with respect to the portion size: the bag may not be huge, but you're actually are getting a rather large portion, particularly because of the size of each individual candy. Each "Jelly Baby" is about an inch long (the same length of a Sour Patch Kid) but about 3/4 of an inch thick (more than twice as thick as a Sour Patch Kid, and about twice the size overall as an average gummy bear). In other words, these things are pretty big as far as soft/gelatin based candy goes: so for the size you actually get a lot even with the fairly small bag. To put it in perspective: a whole bag of Haribo Gummy Bears is about 450 calories. A bag of Jelly Babies is about 720. If you're watching your figure, keep that in mind!Jelly Babies are nothing like gummy bears, contrary to appearance or rumor. Their texture and flavor is more akin to an American Jelly bean. They have a soft outer shell of gelatin and starch and a softer "jelly" (gelatin) center where most of the flavor is concentrated. Basically, imagine a jelly bean with a really, really, really, really soft outer shell in the shape of a person, and that's the closest approximation you can get. The flavors will taste a bit off or peculiar to Americans, because most of the flavor is derived from actual fruit juice and real sugar (in contrast to most American gummy candies, which use artificial flavors and high fructose corn syrup). The flavors are also based around British sensibilities, so flavors like blackcurrant might be a little peculiar tasting as well. There also is a slightly grainy texture to them: this is from the starch coating used to break the candies from the molds. All and all, I enjoyed them, but not enough to say I could eat them every day (like the Doctor did). I'd say they're sweets best suited for a particular mood.

Like Nicotine, but with less addictivness
I used to think American candy was okay. Then I had this British sweet, and I realized how awful and bland our stuff is.Out of the several different companies I have tried, Bassist's still comes first in terms of quality, texture, and flavor. The smaller bags are good for a quick snack or for those who have low income (like I do). They are also a decent amount for those who haven't had them before and want to try them (though I would suggest upgrading to a larger box after initial consumption).Delicious and tasty as ever, this will be one treat I would see myself buying again in the future.

The item size listed isn't what you get
The jelly babies are good, lovely flavours. My problem is with this sellers listing. I ordered the twelve pack of 6.8oz bags but got the 165g bags which is less than my ordered amount. May seem petty on my part but I'd like to have gotten what I ordered and paid for. Disappointed
