When Zantec went off the market these were the only over the counter replacement in the class of H2 Blocker which is more tolerable for some people (like me) than the Proton Pump Inhibitors like Nexium.

Our vet recommended Pepcid for our dog who has a very touchy stomach. We have been giving him 1/2 pill in the morning and the same in the evening. There have been no side effects and they seem to work pretty well. Love the container version of this med and the great price.

Great for Dogs too
I actually use this for my older dog. I 10mg pill smashed into a powder and mixed with her morning food seems to have fixed her heartburn.

Works great for dogs too
This has been beneficial for our dog's medical condition. Wish it were round vs square, since I can't roll it down her tongue like I can other medication.
