I haven't used them under load, but the quality looks and feels good. I'm down on a few 50kn carabiners for lifting and moving in tree work. Theses are rated to a similar level and a lot cheaper.

for years i’ve had one of those tow ropes with the hooks on the ends. in about 20yrs i’ve used them maybe 4 times to help pull people out of ditches and muddy fields. my latest car has a towball. yaay! no more hooking onto the chassis or suspension. boo, hook is waay too small to fit around the towball.these bow shackles are just the job! they’re big enough to fit over a towball, and the shackle bolt fits through the hook on the tow rope. they look huge & solid enough that i don’t think they’ll buckle whatever i try to pull!all i need now is some poor sap in distress to try them out on!

Bought with a 2 ton sling and block & tacle. Robust things,, come in various colours, good quality.

I picked these as their nright red colour makes them stand out so they can't be easily lost. I recently used them when lifting a lorry axle and they worked perfectly. I've only used them for lifting about 1ton, but they showed no signs of struggling so they seem plenty strong enough. Probably could find cheaper ones, but these make you feel confident they arent going to fail. Well worth the money

At the price I wasn't expecting much. Happily surprised as it's a great piece of kit. Well made and good finish too
