Avoiding plastic in my coffee
I'm pretty sure that hot water and plastic is not a good combination. I wanted to brew coffee but avoid plastic leeching into it. I bought this "ceramic drip coffee filter" which uses No4 size cone filters. Using the formula of 1 tablespoon of coffee for every cup of water comes out just right for my taste, and I like my coffee pretty dark. I use a stainless steel tea pot for boiling and pouring water. I still use my coffee maker glass carafe for brewing my coffee and my coffee maker warming pad to keep my coffee hot. The only thing I don't like about this product is the small base, at 3 and 7/8" is a bit small, but even with this size I can still brew up to 10 cups on my existing coffee pot. Pictures I've attached is how I use it in my pot, using one of those rubber bracelet helps the ceramic stay level. The other 2 pictures shows the measurement. The 6" scale didn't stay balanced while I tried taking the shot so I had to let it hang an inch off to the left so it's shows 4-7/8" on the right, but the exact diameter of the base measuring at 3-7/8".

Clunky, number 2 filters don't really fit
I like the three holes because I grind my coffee extra fine so I don't mind the faster flow. BUT: regular #2 filters (melitta, if you care, generic) don't sit flat in this dripper, so you kind of have to crumple up the filter to get it to seat, then the whole thing gets out of whack and you get a messy pour-over.Also, the item is heavy and cumbersome, made cheap and thick, and the handle isn't really big enough or shaped right to manipulate the thing when it's hot.It doesn't fit on regular ball jars or most containers commonly encountered in American kitchens.Disappointed.

Good to the Last Drop...
Finally broke down and got one after one too many leachy plastic propaganda. No complaints, but then, I haven't dropped it, which would lead to a different resultthan dropping my plastic one. I dont know what "2 to 6 cups" means, you certainly won'tget more cups from the dregs than you would with a plastic cone of the same size. I was too quick to toss my plastic guy in the recycling bin, realizing a while later, whilepacking my camp gear, that it woulda been perfect for that, that fresh lake water in the kettlewould have neutralized any plastic leaching. I also picked my Aerolatte as a Amazon Warehouse deal. White. Not sure why they make white onesthat require pretty immediate cleaning to keep it pearly white. One's teeth too, come to think of it.

A+++ Better than the rest! Surprisingly!
I bought this to keep at work, because I didn't want to take my home (Starbucks) ceramic pour over in. I took a chance on it because of the price. And after just over a week of use... I love it MORE than the model I have at home. I don't know if it's the additional drip holes, but it fills faster. Which means I'm drinking coffee faster, which is a WIN. : )+ Faster brewing time, by far! A+++ Same great taste, solid, exactly the same quality as a more expensive model. A++ Solid construction, ceramic, but solid, and my filters actually do better with this model. A+I'm thinking of buying another one of these, for myself, getting rid of my other, sorry Starbucks. And possibly getting more of these to give as gifts to family who haven't made the switch to Pour over yet. Keep the price low, this is a SOLID product! : )

Makes a good cup, wish it was hotter
This is a nice quick and easy coffee maker, but it is hard to get the coffee really hot

Good cup of coffee
I have had this drip coffee system for a few weeks and I love it. It took me a couple of times to get the mix of coffee to water just right, but once you get the mixture right it makes a great cup of coffee. I like the weight of the ceramic filter, you don't have to worry about it moving when the water is poured in. The system being ceramic you do can make the water as hot as possible ( I Believe this makes the best coffee) and not worry about plastic problems. This system is just easy to use when making a single cup, but the coffee is better than our multi- cup drip system.

Alternative to Plastic
Just a healthier alternative to plastic. This is my second one and I had the last one for years. I guess it isn't good if you are accident prone, because it obviously breaks easier than plastic, but I still love it :) It's easy to clean and has a nice weight to it.

I take this with me when I travel. Best way to ensure I get exactly the coffee I want every day.
I was once a barista and I'm a total coffee snob having lived in Italy for a good portion of my life. This makes a decent cuppa joe on a shoestring budget.I take this with me when I travel. Best way to ensure I get exactly the coffee I want every day.

Great for the price
Quite heavy but that also makes it feel like a good old solid traditional quality item. Takes a size 4 filter paper perfectly, when folded across the seams. I note that some commentators have mentioned the drip being too fast...well I thought it was fine. get the grind right and bloom the coffee first with a little water and pour steadily with a gooseneck kettle and it works really well...makes a great cup of coffee. I've tried three different blends so far: an every day (strength 3), an Italian (4) and a French (5). It's very easy to clean...just a quick rinse under the tap.At this price I'm very happy.

Works beautifully
I bought this for making single cups of filtered coffee and it works really well. Pour the water slowly and carefully and it produces a lovely flavoursome coffee.I was concerned that it would be too large for my fairly small coffee cups but it fits over them very nicely. An advantage is that it is easy to adjust the coffee you make to you own preferences by pouring slower or faster and how much water you use of course.I'm very happy with it and it makes a good alternative to always using a French press, particularly if you are watching your cholesterol levels (and it is much easier to clean!)

Good quality
Nicely made, but it has three holes and I needed only one. I managed to plug two of them, as my fancy machine uses only one hole. Also to lift it higher and make it steadier I cut the center out of a silicone lid and the dripper fits perfectly! Why did I do all this because I hate the plastic filter that came with my machine. Impossible to remove the oily residue left behind. Now my coffee taste great! Highly recommend trying this filter!
