I was so pleased with my Kindle copy that I purchased hard copies ...
I appreciated author Peter Scazzero' s caution not to become legalistic about performing the daily office, but found the process to be very rewarding. The devotional sections progressively lead the participant through a thoughtful self-examination I found refreshingly to the point; prayers were reflective of the questions posed. This approach to developing a more focused "quiet time" with God made a real contribution to my own walk. I was so pleased with my Kindle copy that I purchased hard copies to give as gifts. I made use of the note-taking feature on the Kindle to answer the questions in context but a notebook would certainly suffice.

Simple but Powerful Practice
Scazzero is a gift to the Body of Christ. This daily office, built upon his wonderful Emotionally Healthy Discipleship book, brings the themes of emotional and relational maturity into a twice daily devotional with Scripture, reflections, and a question to challenge you to grow. It's so easy, and yet new to me and so many others.I've been using this guide and it has helped me to think and pray specifically about my own maturity and health in ways that I never have on my own. I'm also listening to Scazzero's podcast and reading the accompanying book. Powerful combination.I recommend this book, and it's companion book, to anyone who feels stuck in their faith life, has hit hurdles that seem impossible to overcome, or has been burnt out in ministry. If you want to grow, this will be a helpful tool.

Just what I needed for practical, deep prayer
It combines the best of everything, requiring silence, appropriate scripture, excellent reflections, a provoking question with space to write, a powerful prayer before concluding in silence. Just what I was looking for for practical, deep prayer.

Much Needed Book
This book is wonderful, timely, and much needed in the church and world today. Sadly, our society has seeped into theChurch, shouting for us to hurry, hurry, peform, peform, succeed, succeed, even to the point of forsaking the foundation of our faith: cultivating our relationship with Christ first and foremost! The author leads us, through his own experience of being burnt out in ministry, on a contemplative journey of practicing the presence of God. It's "back to basics". I would highly recommend this book and all of this author's other material. LTE

Great Book!
The Daily Office is a great devotional book! It gives simplistic devotionals to help stay in God's presence throughout the day. And the devotionals are designed in a way that one can take as little or as much time as they have/want on them. Thumbs up!

Peter Scazzero's daily office
This book is inspiring me to be quiet and still before the Lord. It is amazing how you can experience his presence and I ears to hear when you slow down to do this. I highly reccommend this book to all who are seeking to go deeper.
