Laminitis: understanding, cure, prevention Paperback – March 28, 2016

Great book! If you are currently treating laminitic horses every day, you might not need this. All the rest of us can learn something from this book! I don't know Remco Sikkel personally, but he has written an excellent reference with LOTS of excellent photos. It's very up-to-date and has a very good section on diet, as well as resource links for further research. I think every horse owner would benefit from owning this book! Should be required reading for farriers, vets, horse facility managers, etc. (I do prefer Pete Ramey's videos for going into depth on how to trim a laminitic horse). I am very happy with my purchase and I feel this book is well worth the price.(I have not read any other Laminitis textbooks except Pete Ramey's book, so there may be other useful books out there. Safergrass. o r g and Dr. Kellon's website are also great resources in my opinion.)

Well written and easy to understand with current information about the cause theories for laminitis. Every horse owner should stay up to date on this information. It could save your horse.

Quite good

This is the best book I've ever seen on Laminitis. Not only is it very easy to read (not written in a scientific sense) but the information is laid out in a progressive order. The short paragraphs and dot point lists help when scanning for information and there are lots of clear diagrams and photos.I highly recommend this book for all horse owners, hoof trimmers, farriers and even vets so they know all the latest treatment options and ways to prevent this most common disease of equines.

Every horse owner should read it. Great info on prevention and different therapies.
