This is a very effective iron, however, initially I was shocked at the weight of it. ( 2.6 kilos / 5.7 pounds). Of course you don't notice this when its in use and probably adds to its great performance. It certainly saves me from having to put my own weight behind it. But this might be worth taking into consideration depending on your situation. Slick design, great cord cord length and overall good value for money.

This is the Bomb!!! I am over the moon with my new iron it really is fantastic!! After reading some of the comments I nearly didn't order it but I am so glad i did, it glides across stubborn creases "like a hot knife in butter". When I iron pillow cases I always have to turn it over and iron both sides,not with this iron though it really is great, as for the weight, I didn't notice how heavy it was, it just glides across the garments and is a pleasure to use as well as the fact its a great looking iron, well worth the cost in my opinion.

Very good performance and helps cut down time spent ironing.Attractive appearance and innovative filter system to deal with scaling. It is a large iron so perhaps not so good for small ironing boards.Also quite heavy problems due to quality of the materials used.Quite expensive. Overall I am happy with it

It’s a lot bigger and heavier than I thought, but I guess that’s what the XL in its name indicates. It’s very easy to use, iron like a dream. Has a big water container, but it does use the water for steam quickly. I can manage with a full tank to iron 3 shirt. Overall I am very happy with it, because of its size makes the ironing much quicker.

Brilliant steam iron, whilst expensive initially it is great quality, plenty of steam very powerful and doesn’t weigh much more than the old one. Has some great features and a safety feature if it falls over Over or is left on too long without movement.

Purchased the Tefal pure originally but the lead was to short less than two metres as other reviews have mentioned. Spoke to Amazon CS and were very helpful as usual . I suggested I needed longer lead and they offered to pay for a new lead . But on reflection did not take up on offer as would be hassle to fit new lead . So instead exchanged for the top of the range model the ultimate pure with 3mt lead and more power. Very pleased with this model and Amazon service was excellent.

This is one holy mother of a steam iron. It will cope with just about any ironing task. It is a good weight, heats up very quickly, and can supply more steam than a Turkish bath. It has a standard steam delivery, a pulse steam delivery by pressing a convenient lever, a steam "off" setting, and a turbo steam delivery for stubborn creases, curtains, hanging cloths etc. and a water spray function. Easy to fill with tap water and to empty. Very easy to access the scale filter, and a useful auto off function if the iron is left on with the plate down and not used for more than 30 secs. The plate is very well shaped. This replaces my previous 45 year old steam iron with which there is no comparison. My only niggles are the plastic standard steam lever and water intake cover hinge which are on the front and are vulnerable in case of a knock. The instructions are all graphic (no writing) and can take a bit of studying. I found it easier to fill the iron with water then fire it up and check the function of each lever and button. This took about 30 seconds. With this iron, ironing will no longer be a chore.

I was really excited about upgrading to the Tefal Ultimate Pure Steam Iron, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. After just three weeks of use, I started experiencing issues with the iron leaking water and spitting out limescale. This was especially disappointing because it's marketed as having an advanced anti-limescale filter system, but in my case, that simply didn’t hold true. Initially, the iron worked well, delivering a powerful steam boost and smooth ironing. However, these issues appeared relatively quickly, making it hard to enjoy the product long-term. The iron also feels quite heavy when the 350ml water tank is full, which made it difficult to use for extended periods without fatigue. While the iron itself looks and feels premium in hand, I expected better performance for the price. I had been using a much cheaper iron for years and decided to invest in this one to enhance my ironing experience. I read positive reviews and trusted the brand, but in the end, it fell short of what I expected. Unfortunately, I had to return it, and it left me quite disappointed. If you’re looking for a durable, reliable steam iron, this may not be the best choice.
