JET Grinder Stand, fits IBG-8 and IBG-10 Grinders (IBG-Stand)

Solid as a rock and heavy. Easy placement of grinder with hole pattern.

This is a wonderful heavy duty pedestal. I'm using it for an 8 inch dewalt grinder and it works great. I added heavy duty caster wheels to make it more mobile. (If you do this you need long threaded casters, because the base is 2 inches thick or use a threaded sleeve to connect the caster and a bolt in order to extend it) I tested it and the pedestal doesn't even vibrate because it's so solid and heavy. the whole thing with the grinder weights about 80 lbs and it's not going anywhere because of that. I tested it also without locking the casters and it's as solid as can be!! Awesome Pedestal!

This is a serious grinder stand, not a piece of plastic anywhere, heavy, nice wide base, cast iron water pot. I was worried when I first purchased it, Jet has been questionable lately and it was pricey, but this did not disappoint. Definitely worth the extra I spent on this one. I have a Woodstock stand for my 8" buffer that now looks like a toy compared to this one. I will be replacing that one as well as soon as I can afford to.

So the stand is great, and worked well with my Jet Bench Grinder, but when I purchased both together, I'd expect one or the other to have the correct hardware to mount it, especially if both are Jet, and they're supposed to work together, there were some bolts included but I believe they were either not designed for this stand, or were for some other purpose for the grinder. I had to go run our to home depot to get the right bolts to mount the two together, that's just sloppy. So Great stand, but be prepared for a hardware store run, to get the right bolts to mount your device to this thing.

Super solid, heavy and industrial strength. Fit and finish is good for cast iron, paint is also solid. The packaging was not sturdy and its possible for parts to go missing during shipping. It should be double boxed for safety in transport. Not a universal mounting solution for my older Craftsman bench grinder, but easy enough to make an adapter plate. Overall a very good product.

This is a very strong and well built stand. I also own stands made by Grizzly and Wen . Of the three, the Jet stand is definitely the best. The base of the Jet is quite a bit larger than the Grizzly or the Wen . This feature adds rigidity to the setup as well as stability. In the photo you can see a side by side of the Jet and Grizzly stands. I will note that other than the difference in the bases, the Jet and Grizzly are almost identical in every other way. Should one choose to bolt the stands to the floor, I believe the Grizzly would be a better value as it cost roughly $50 less. Since I mentioned the Wen, I will add that it is a real light weight and I would not recommend the Wen for a heavy duty grinder or buffer.

Great stand. Big, heavy, solid! Only gripe is that neither the hardware with the JET grinder nor the stand fit the other. Both were universal...just not that universal. Ones's bolts were too skinny and the other's bolts were too short. That's nobody's fault as they didn't come from the same manufacturer. A quick trip to the hardware store solved that. This stand should last a lifetime. Or, longer.
