It has a key slot, but uses a set screw in the slot. It does come with the set screw. If you want to mount it using a key then you have to order a key separately.

Very well made pulley

This pulley was a perfect replacement for one that I needed on my jointer. It was a bit of a tight fit on the shaft, but no major problem. I've used my jointer a fair amount since installing this pulley, and it's performing very well.
