TeguMagbot Magnetic Wooden Block Set, 1-99 years old, 9 piece

Oh my goodness, my 5-year-old is OBSESSED! While these can be a little pricey, our son was gifted a smaller Tegu set (the one with the robot) for his birthday and has been obsessed. We got this set for him as a reward, and he hasn’t stopped playing with them since! We even needed to rearrange his room a bit to make room for these to have their own bin in his play storage. They are VERY sturdy and durable and high-quality. They have led to HOURS of STEM and independent play. I’m a teacher also, and if I could afford to have these in my classroom, I would! While they are pricey, for our son, they were worth the money for all of the hours of creative play and scientific wondering he’s been doing without even really realizing it! Just the lessons he’s learned about magnets alone have provided hours of experimenting! We are also buying some more wheels to add to it for the next reward since my son is a car FANATIC and loves how he can use the wheels to make any Tegu block creation into a vehicle! So fun for open-ended independent play or for when we all play together!

Both my toddler and 10-month-old love playing with Tegu blocks and this robot is a pretty cool addition to their set. The robot is a good size and with many different places to magnetically connect and rearrange the pieces, the robot definitely fuels imagination and allows for some different play than the blocks alone. It is a bit tricky to move the robot so the pieces don't come apart or the magnets connect to a different piece, but I think that's also the beauty of learning how magnets work and how to move the toy gently (and we have had some happy accidents when pieces connected unintentionally, creating a cool new version of the robot).I was pleasantly surprised that it came so well-packaged and presented nicely (see pics) with ideas for different ways to put the robot together on the inside of the box.

My kids love these blocks. I was hesitant to purchase them because they are quite expensive for a few blocks, but we were traveling on a plane and I would have paid probably anything in the hopes of entertaining my kids and making the flight tolerable. These blocks are lots of fun - both my 18 month old and my 3 year old really love them. I now keep them in my diaper bag and use them as a special toy that we only pull out at restaurants when I'm feeling desperate to keep my kids from crawling under the table/throwing silverware at each other. I ended up purchasing another set so they could both have one. These were well worth their cost.

These are great to keep on hand for traveling, but the magnets aren’t very strong. I also got a wheels as an addition and my kiddo gets a little frustrated when he puts any pressure on anything he builds and it collapses. The wood is sturdy though and there aren’t any shape corners which is good.

True to description. Very detailed, pictured step by step directions. Allow child of any age 4yrs & older to bring imagination building to life. Very durable & easy to use.

We received our first Tegu product in a Citrus Lane Subscription box. It was just 4 triangle shaped pieces. They were great, and I wanted to try more without getting a huge set in case they lost their luster with my son, which tends to happen with kids. We ordered this set to go along with the 4 pieces we already had.The wood is lightweight and smooth. It is almost soft to the touch. The dyes used are non toxic. The magnets are safe since they are encased.This set is great. My son likes robots, so the Robo look on the side of these blocks added to the fun. He can rearrange them into various new robots. We stick these in a busy bag for church, and they keep him occupied most Sundays.We will most likely end up with more Tegu. The cost seems reasonable for a humanely produced toy made from quality materials.The only problem we have is that sometimes the poles of the magnets don't line up, so they do not attract. We are used to Magformers and don't have that problem with those. I would still recommend these and consider them a go to gift for preschoolers.

I have to preface this with I LOVE TEGU BLOCKS. I was really on the fence to begin with about this purchase. It is very fun, but honestly the reason why I love TEGU blocks is the hours of open ended play that children get. This robot is great, but that is about all he is - a robot. This toy is best when used in correlation to other block toys, in particular TEGU blocks. I would much prefer to have a large set of blocks over the TEGU toys that are formed into toys like this robot. It is a perfectly fine toy, it is beautifully made. I just would not give it as a gift nor would I buy another in this line of toys - but I would expand my TEGU blocks set in a heartbeat.

Love the robot shape, easy to use and build on to. Variety of Fun shapes. Hours of play without breaking, prefect size for the car and or traveling.

I wanted to buy something a little different for our four year old friend. Unplugged. Durable. Imaginative play. Well built. He started playing with it right out of the box. Figuring out the proper way to attach the magnets. Great fun.

This was a gift for a child. Nice that you could make several different shapes and you could buy additional pieces

Klasse Spielzeug. Mit weiteren Tegu Bausteinen lässt sich damit super kreativ bauen. Positiv ist auch, dass die langen Steine von mehreren Seiten magnetisch sind, was bei einigen Tegu-Sets nicht so ist. Sehr zu empfehlen. Sowohl Klein als auch Groß haben Spaß damit👍🏼

Being Tegu fans, this is a great buy to add to our collection. It has been bought for my 4yo son who I hope will love it. Nicely presented in the box, it lets him create the robots he makes with out other bits. It is beautifully made with subtle colours. Looking forward to him playing with it!
