Review: Very informed and balanced point of view - Dr. Dean writes very organized and documented on different aspects treated in the book. The stories shared from pacients shed more light on what is possible for afib patients. It's a book that brings hope in a field where specialists don't seem to give much hope in many cases and even make the afib or heart condition worse with the generally recommended medication. It's a balanced point of view, letting you chose to investigate something further or not, to believe something or not, or just giving you enough data so you decide for yourself what to do next. It is not an attack to other doctors or treatments. I see it more as a helping hand for the patient to cope and be responsible for his own health when it comes to afib. In my opinion, it's not just for afibbers, it's a book also for anyone interested in preventing heart disease or having a dear one suffering from afib or heart disease. Review: An excellent book... - I first read; The Magnesium Miracle. Then this book. Am now on; Death by Modern Medicine. I am thoroughly convinced that Dr. Dean has this figured out. I have been searching for many years for what I have been lacking. I knew there was something. I'm just starting with her Total Body ReSet program. She really means it when she says to take it slowly. Just the sea salt in water affected me greatly. Just the good filtered water did the same. So I'm moving into this slowly. EDIT: To answer some of the critical reviews I've seen here. You people need to read; Death by Modern Medicine. I remember seeing a documentary where terminal cancer patients were cured using first herbs, then diet. That's all. The knowledge was that their body's chemistry was all goofed up. Most of them did die. Because they wouldn't follow the hassle of the diet. It was something. Mixing up all kinds of stuff in a blender in the morning. Drinking it 5 times a day. But the two out of 5 who did follow the diet were cured. Now this was people whom our Modern Medicine gave up on. I believe in alternative means of health. Versus what our doctors tell us. I, personally, have overcome diabetes with lifestyle. This is unpopular. The American Diabetes Association has backed it up as a good means of treating diabetes. My heart, at times, has hesitated just momentarily. I also have an artery leading to my brain that I can feel it fluttering at times, like the usual 'monday morning'. Just had that happen and it's lessened greatly. I have just started on her Total Body Reset program. When I checked my reviews. This was listed as hidden due to sensitive information. I changed that. I do think there are those in the AMA chasing after this. Trying do stop Dr. Dean, as well as any good alternative health care. They're more worried about themselves than they are with your health. You need to read: Death By Modern Medicine. It matches what I've experienced with our Medical Industry. Also.... Important!... Remember!... Every drug is a toxin to our body. Every last one of them. ... Think about it.

While the information is good. I felt like I was reading an infomercial. Many companies make ionic magnesium. But I am still glad I read the book.

Amazing
I just ordered the book. I have, however, started taking the 4 complimentary formulas including Remag, Remyte, rNA drops, and reAline. I had open heart surgery in 2009 to repair my Mitral Valve and also had the Maze procedure to fix the AFib I was in. I was free of AFib until about 4 weeks ago. I felt it right away and my doctor confirmed it with an EKG. They told me to see if I could live with the symptoms and upped my Atenolol. I still felt terrible. The pounding in my chest was constant and so very disturbing. I bought the products about a week ago and started immediately. About 3 nights into it, I was lying in bed, on my side, trying to go to sleep despite the constant AFib symptons. I was drifting when off to sleep and all the sudden my entire body jumped and I felt this ZAP in my heart! I was scared to death. I laid there for a minute waiting to see if I was having a heart attack or a stroke or what! What I realized was that I felt NOTHING in my heart or chest region. Every symptom I had a moment before that was gone. I know this sounds strange, but it is absolutely the truth! I check my pulse several times a day, and I don't think I'm in AFib anymore. Of course, I will have to have that confirmed by my cardiologist, but I don't have the symptoms at all and my pulse, while not perfect, is not all over the darn place like it was. Obviously I will continue with this regime and will update my review later on. I'm so hopeful at the moment. This bout of AFib was very defeating as I also am dealing with Thyroid Cancer and I don't feel well anyway. Yesterday I actually got dressed, put on makeup and went to lunch with a friend! Today I am a little tired, so I' m going to rest. But hopeful I am that my quality of life is going to improve!

Interesting information about magnesium
Magnesium deficiency as a cause of atrial fibrillation is explained in detail with lifestyle and diet recommendations. Where I am discouraged is that much of the book is a plug for her specific magnesium products - makes me less trusting of her science if I suspect the book is really one long advert.

I recently had one attack of Afib, and have had ectopics for years. I am now taking beta blockers once again, which I am sure are making things a whole lot worse, in addition to blood thinners which I am very concerned about, although I fully understand the issue of potential strokes. Considering the potential dangers of these drugs, there just has to be another way. I read the book all the way through and am definitely going to try the suggested alternatives. The drug route cannot be the answer for everyone. Thank you so much. I will, however, be doing this with my doctors advice, and hopefully his understanding.

This book is very informative. As are her other books. My husband has had Afib for almost 6 years. Definitely a good read for anyone with concerns and looking for improvements.

For these times we live in where there is a bombardment of pharmaceutical drugs in the arsenal of every medically trained, unquestioning, obedient doctor, we need to become our own authority on our health and wellbeing. This book demonstrates the infinite value of a mineral our bodies need that is being not only ignored by the medical establishment but actively being heavily depleted by unnecessary and frankly damaging prescription drugs, not to mention how modern farming practices have been stripping it from the soil this past century preventing us from ingesting magnesium and other nutrients naturally from our food. Thank you Dr Carolyn Dean.
