FLEXINeon Retractable Dog Leash (Cord), 16 ft, Small, Black/Yellow

Okay I love this.I bought the small size for my little Yorkie. It's yellow so if I set it down somewhere it is easy to find. It retracts well, reflects well and it has a bite belt. I have a very small dog and so this smaller size retractable leash is perfect. I have had many retractable leashes and I have to say this is the best. It is really made well, and is not heavy. That is a big deal when you are walking a dog who weighs 5 lbs. It seems durable: I have dropped it a couple of times and it has not shattered. The weight of the clasp matches well with the leash itself. I only wish I found this 10 years ago. I am very impressed with the way that it is made. I sometimes like to walk hands free because I do some nature photography. I attached a metal carabiner to it that I can snap to my belt and retract the leash so my dogs is by my side while I snap a couple of pictures. Probably not easy to do with a large or medium dog but easy enough with a small guy like mine. I would recommend this leash to family and friends (and probably perfect strangers)Update: Still works great! Buying a second one so I have another on hand for when this finally breaks. If there is any change in the quality of the new one I will let you know.

Leash is easy to hold and control with one hand and reflective line and housing definitely an asset if you're a night dog walker. We have 3 of them -- one in each car and one in the house, so we are prepared for every spontaneous nee/desire to give our dog a walk Love the size and weight.

Love this leash! Excellent tension bend makes a breeze pleasant walk with my dog ever since I have this leash. It’s little pricey but worth every penny I paid. The lock and unlock features will not jolt my dog, the bright yellow color made it easy to spot my dog. However, I have a small hand, it’s not too easy to operate lock and unlock system with one hand, especially for people who have arthritis in their thumb. I am also happy with the cord leash, no matter how you twisted and turned, the cord will not get stuck or unable to retract. It’s a great leash, I would highly recommend for anyone who loves to walk their dog.

Finally, after trying and returning THREE other retractable leashes, this one is perfect. My dachshund is 12 pounds, doesn't pull, and I have small hands. The other retractable leashes were too heavy and big for me. This one is perfect, lightweight, small, and strong (I think).

Generally, I loved this leash for a 23 lb Puggle. Works well in all ways one would need this product to work.Handle is ergonomic (even for my large hands), stop & lock works well, retraction works well, bright and reflective as well.Update: 4 years in and retraction mechanism has failed. I still like this brand and this product. But will buy something cheaper if I must replace every 3-5 years.

This leash is strong, reliable, retractible, and highly visible. I prefer this type over a tape leash which has a tendency to jam inside the housing. This replaces my previous one (same style) which lasted for 21 years (2 dogs.)

I was leash training my 9 lb puppy inside my fenced yard. She spotted a rabbit and took off after it. Imagine my surprise when I saw my puppy running after it and the handle was in my hand with no visible cord! The cord snapped. It is 13 days beyond the return date so now I cannot return it. Good thing this happened inside my fenced yard. Had it happened on a walk, I would never have been able to catch her. She’d be lost or, worse, hit by a car or scooped up by a hawk! I’ve had dogs all my life. Of course, I’ve had several types of leashes and not once, especially with a fairly new one, was I ever concerned that the leash would break. You should be able to depend on the leash. I won’t ever buy a leash from this company again and you shouldn’t either! If you love your dog, don’t buy this leash. It is unreliable for walking your dog outside a fenced yard. As a responsible dog owner, you should have control over them regardless of their age or circumstance. You won’t get that control with this leash. If I could I would give this leash a NEGATIVE 100 stars!!

this is perfect for small dog, the mechanic is very smooth, sturdy and not overpowering.its also very light and responsive. the neon color is actually a sticker which is a down side. I don't really care but the edge already start peeling off.

Great quality leash. I really like the fact that it's neon and the cord stands out really well. We have 2 dogs so it really helps to be able to see where the cord is when they cross paths. I still have my old Flexi leash, it's over 12 years old and works perfectly. I decided to buy the smaller one to use in the summer and I use the medium one in the winter when I'm wearing my mitts because it has a larger handle.

This leash replaces a 10 year old medium Flexi leash that stopped retracting. The small size, cable type, leash is all I need for my well trained, older, 17 lb. shih tzu. I like the bright yellow cord, easy to see, and reflective handle. However, I would recommend the medium size for any dog over 15 lbs that might pull a lot or lunge.
