I am currently using this to ice my shoulder having undergone rotator cuff muscle repair 2 weeks ago. I showed up at my surgeon's office wearing it and he said, "That's absolutely a great way to ice." It's very convenient having 2 sets of ice packs. It fits snugly, and I actually have better and more comfortable support for my shoulder and arm than in the sling issued to me after surgery. I find that this contains my arm successfully and I am prevented from doing any movement that would harm it. The ice is long-lasting and penetrating from both front and back. There are two pockets for ice; one pocket puts it closer to the surface of the skin. It's easy to put on and take off. Took me a little while to figure out how to do it myself, but once I got chest strap adjusted correctly, it's now very easy. I highly recommend this product. I have all the ActiveWrap hot/cold therapy wraps now and have used them all successfully for various injuries and conditions. This is a winner from a very winning company. As far as I'm concerned, it's worth a little bit more than some of the others because of the quality.

This shoulder wrap is VERY well made. It is easy to put on and remove. It provides HEAT OR COLD relief around my ENTIRE shoulder and stays in place (unlike trying to use a rectangular gel pack).A shout out for the seller—I ordered a size Large because I had read a couple of reviews saying that the shoulder wrap ran small. When I received my size Large, the tightening strap went part way around my back because it was simply too big for me. Also, the top of the shoulder portion rippled because there was so much more space in that area than my shoulder could fill. I reached out to the seller through Amazon to ask for a replacement Small/Medium. They quickly sent me the replacement cloth portion, along with a pre-paid shipping label to return the size Large. In two days, I had that replacement! Their customer service matches the quality of their product. Highly recommend!

I own an active wrap for my lower back and have used it for years. I just bought this shoulder wrap after separating my shoulder. It’s a great shoulder wrap. Fits me perfectly and has 2 pockets to hold the gel packs which can be hot or cold. Quality construction , not like some of those cheap ones you find at drug stores. Comes with 2 gel packs.

Update: I’m leaving my initial review in the hopes that others with this issue will know how to fix it and how awesome the customer service is with this company. After leaving this review, I got a message next day telling me that they would refund my purchase price and to keep the wrap to give to someone else who might be able to use it. While I believe the item I received is a defective item (the arm hole and shoulder sections are a clear mismatch), the cold packs are the bomb, and I will definitely use them! Plus, they refunded my money as well as allowing me to keep the item. I may try to make an adjustment to the arm to see if I can make the product usable. Regardless, I give their customer service great marks and I would try one of their products again for that reason alone. Just know you need to contact CS if you have an issue and they will work it out promptly. Amazon won’t allow returns through their system.I love the gel packs that come with this product. I liked that the product had multiple ice packs in it and that they were made of hot/cold gel. I was so excited to try it. As a plus sized woman, I ordered the XL size to ensure it would fit around my arms. My arms aren’t huge, but they’re not small either. So it’s a usual concern for me. I wear about a size 16/18 in tops and dresses. Many customers had noted how large the l/XL wrap was, so I was sure it would be big if anything. The armhole on this wrap was so tight, I couldn’t wear it comfortably for even a few minutes. Additionally, the shoulder portion was so much bigger than my chest that I couldn’t make it fit by tightening the straps because my arm wouldn’t fit all the way into the sleeve. There is no way a man with large muscles would have been able to wear this shoulder wrap. Is it a fluke? A defect? I have no idea because the worst part of the entire experience is that I specifically ordered this wrap because the description says it’s refundable and backed by a fit guarantee. But when you try to return it, Amazon says it is ineligible for return. Nice bait and switch! So, I guess I’m out the cost of this wrap because I can’t wear it and can’t return it. Total waste. Buyer beware. If you’re concerned about size, look elsewhere!

Wonderful product, works great with the rotator cuff injury. (We are so glad we didn't get one of those rental ice contraptions that run 300.00 a week.) The ice packs were very cold and stayed that way the hole time period. (almost too cold to touch) If we couldn't slide the arm through the wrap it worked just as good laying on top of the arm. Very easy to use just out of surgery when you need it the most. I don't think the hot got very hot but I think it was just us afraid it would blow in the microwave. The wrap was very comfortable and stayed in place so you were able to lay down. I'm so glad we own this for what ever happens in the future.

My husband found this really tough on his shoulder after surgery. He wasn’t able to use it.
