Keynote Morel Mushrooms (Dried Dark Mini Morels with Tails) 30 g

A product of such importance deserves a review. I've been using these morels to prepare both Indian as well as French delicacies. With respect to Indian cuisine, these morels are just perfect for making 'Gucchi Pilaf Rice'. As for continental dishes, I've prepared 'Chicken in Cream Sauce' both embellished with sauteed morels as well as using the morel stock for preparing the cream. Everything turned out just perfect! For those new to the flavour of these mushrooms, I would simply describe them as being 'meaty'. When taken out of the pack, these morel mushrooms require some cleaning and then rehydration. Adding water will increase their size by 2-3 times! Attached is an image of rehydrated morels with a 10 rupee coin for reference.

This tastes nothing like anything else I have ever tasted. Me and my whole family is hooked onto it. Ordered another packet as soon as the first one ended and will keep doing it. I also like the company philosophy - get some of the good stuff this country produces and is routinely exported abroad back for the affluent customers at home.

Of the different brands of Gucci mushroom available, I prefer this for its variation size of the mushroom and level of cleanliness. The mushrooms usually come with a lot of grit as they are very minimally processed. This particular brand is quite clean in comparison.

Exceeds expectations. Taste was completely original!

Not cooked as yet. Look similar to the ones we usually buy from Quality Stores in Mumbai. A little smaller in size. Price is also the same. We shall be making a dish when my sister comes from the UK.Amazon more convenient to buy than getting them from Mumbai.Thanks.
