Sulfate Free Body Wash, Hope, Aloe Vera + Dewy Moss, 16 Fl Oz

I'm generally pleased with these sulfate-free, paraben-free body washes: They have a clean scent and aren't drying. I use them as a hand wash and a body wash for their non-drying effects and fresh scents. However, the packing needs an upgrade (see the photos). Because the pumps hadn't been secured, the products I received leaked into the box. This is true of both bottles that I purchased: the Hope scent as well as the Dignity scent. The Dignity had been packaged inside a plastic bag before being shipped in a box, but a pretty good bit of the product still leaked inside the bag. :( Sellers who market pump-bottle products should take an extra step to secure the pumps. Many pump-bottle products that I purchase are secured for mailing by simply placing a piece of packaging tape over the still-locked pump. Yes, it's an extra shipping step, but the purchaser will then receive a full bottle of product. BOTTOM LINE: Good product. Poor packaging.

I came across this soap at a friend’s place as a bathroom handsoap. Loved the mild feel but found myself taking breathes from my hands afterwards. Made me feel calm and relaxed like the best aromatherapy. First time I ever told someone how much I loved their soap! I got a bottle of “Hope” right away and have used it as handsoap, body wash and shampoo since. Incredibly smooth texture, mild on the skin without dryness, leaves hair clean and manageable but also not dry, very rich lather. And then there’s the aroma. It’s a mild and not overpowering smell, but complex and hard to describe. It refers to moss and other nature fragrances—perhaps that’s where the calming effect for me comes from. Whatever it is, I’ll be buying again. The fact that all profits are going to give homeless persons the human dignity of cleanliness is just an amazing frosting on this great product. Well done, Unilever.

I love the scent more than anything about this body wash, but the quality of the ingredients are even better than most I've used. I wish Amazon still stocked it. They were the only ones who sold it at a decent price.

What first drew me to this product was the story behind its development. I’ve always been the type of individual to support a great cause so after reading a few reviews, and in spite of a few that stated the bottled leaked during delivery, I purchased a bottle. First, the good...you get a SUBSTANTIAL amount of the product for the money. So it’s definitely worthy of the price. It also smells lovely and leaves a light, lingering scent after showering/bathing. And it doesn’t dry out my skin which some shower gels that I use tend to do. I was also afraid that due to how heavy the scent is before using it that it would irritate my sensitive skin but thankfully it didn’t (I used this product for three consecutive days). Most importantly, it’s VEGAN. Now, the bad (and the reason why I only gave it 4 stars)...While the bottle itself appears to be sustainable, the pump was difficult to open to the point where I had to transfer the product into an empty bottle that I already had at home. Second, the bottle I received leaked as well (thankfully the other items in the box weren’t damaged as a result), I’d say 1/3 of it did, so I guess I’m lucky in that regard. If I had to guess why this keeps happening to customers, it’s because they don’t cover the pump with a tamper proof seal or similar wrapping/tape of some kind to prevent spills during shipping. Every liquid product that I’ve ever ordered online or purchased in a store has that. Heck, every product that I’ve ordered online in general has some type of protective seal on it for this very reason. So unfortunately, unless they improve the packaging, I probably won’t purchase this product again which is a shame because it’s for a great cause and I would love to continue to support it.

I've got fairly sensitive skin and this body wash is amazing! Was a little hesitant due to the price compared to the typical $5-$7 I usually spend but have absolutely no regrets. The "Dignity" scent isn't too heavy and the way my skin feels afterwards is pretty darn impressive. Baby butt smooth. I even used it on my face which tends to break out with 99% of body washes but it worked great. Also got the "Joy" variant that I'll be trying next. Definitely buying again. Also love that proceeds from sales go to mobile showers for the homeless. More companies could/should follow their lead.

Won't purchase again...it's too watery/not thick enough. Don't really care for the fragrance.

This body wash smells good, makes you feel clean, and lathers well. Claims to support showering as a right, so that's another feel good component to it. No problems with the pump. The smell is pretty unisex, which is a plus.

Leaves you clean and soft. Smells heavenly and washes off perfectly.
