This is correct. They do not have chains, but I purchased them as gifts for children in foster homes. I don't think they care if they have or don't have chains.

Unfortunately they are made in China, but they are well made, good clippers!

They are OK, but not real good. The spacing between blades could be larger. The blades aren’t real sharp … takes a lot of squeeze pressure to clip your nails. Next time, I will buy a quality brand, like Trim.
