Large Handcrafted Arched Genuine Mother Pearl Decorative Box with Lock (9.5"L x 5.5"W x 5"H)

My beloved beagle, T-Bone, was called to make the journey to Rainbow Bridge on 1/26/2013. I looked at pet urns and thought they were ugly and over-priced. This little box is attractive and my T-Bone's ashes, his collar, a tennis ball, and a photo of him with his brother, Cowboy, all fit nicely into this little box. I had some trouble with getting the box to open (keyed lock), but that is not really a big problem since I don't open it on a regular basis. I had some initial problems when I went to unlock it to place the ashes and other items inside the box.

The lock for this box was damaged badly. I were got 5 to 6 such boxes previously and they had minor damages that I could overlook. This one has multiple damages. It was painted very badly to hide damages on the outer surfaces. The join between the lead and the box was also damaged. Little damaged pieces were coming out of the inner lining. Would have shard the pics but there is no option here. Would not recommend buying from this seller.

Great size. Way over priced for quality of construction. Shabby workmanship. Keyhole cover not even tacked down properly, only used 1 tack. Lock dose not line up properly.

Bought as a gift for my grandson, 12 years old. He was very pleased. The box is beautiful, not the best construction, but what I expected. The key works, he loved that part. A great gift.

I've had this for a year now, and it still smells like glue...pretty disappointed
