Must have in the cold.
I HIGHLY Recommend! I HATE the cold (I'm from Louisiana, and now live in Maryland) and this thing helps SO much. I'm a truck driver and I don't like being cold, especially when the wind blows and this thing is amazing. So much so that when I misplaced it, I felt like it was the end of the world, you start to rely on it. If you hate the cold and/or wind, this definitely helps. I can't Recommend it enough. It's comfortable to me personally, but the goal is warmth, it covers the important areas. Also, it folds down so, if it's not covering your neck, check that.

Best winter balaclava I've found!
This is my second balaclava of this general type, and this specific balaclava is way more functional than the first design sold by a different vendor. I love this one's brim which helps cut snow and sun glare, the sizing overall is very good and adjustable for different weather situations, and the fabric is soft and thick. When it's bitterly cold, you can easily adjust it so the barest sliver of your face is exposed and when it's warmer you can leave your nose and mouth uncovered. One of my students saw me wearing this and said she is buying one now as well, while colleagues said I look prepared for Antarctica (I live in the Midwest USA). I like this particular balaclava so much I bought a duplicate so I can wash and dry one and have another ready to go in the interim.

Will get the job done
It's not cold enough to wear this in the conditions for which it is intended, but trying it on a few times... it is p.i.t.b. to put on just due to the fact that it is a "two-in-one". The eye slit is very narrow, perhaps a bit narrower than I thought. I was wondering if I would feel claustrophobic with this thing fully covering my face, and it IS very restricting. However, my face is always freezing, even with a neck gaitor pulled up, so... this was what I wanted. It is VERY stretchy. It is made from acrylic yarns. Acrylic is VERY cheap and stretches out of shape - it does not spring back to shape when moistened and dried as other fabrics do.There is so much fabric, and it is so stretchy, that I cannot put it on without it sitting high on top of my head like the "Cat in the Hat" Dr. Seus cat's hat. You have to fidgit with it, get it to pull down in the back, and down your neck. So the part that was sticking up OVER my head, was the part that should be down my neck, even though it was already down my neck. Weird. So I can't see putting this on without a mirror to help adjust it. One good thing I found was that when organized into the position where the entire neck gaitor part is above the brim, it is not as bulky looking as I thought it would be. Checking with mirror around all sides, it's decent... and is bulkiest from the front. So, not so bad.So... it's weird... super stretchy, and large feeling, yet really restricting when it comes to the full face cover - there's barely room for my eyes to see out. But that's what we want, right? There IS a chemically smell at first. I have left mine with some cologne samples inside the hat to see if that helps any. I would not say that it is machine washable. The brim is made of cardboard (underneath the knit), like most caps with a brim, and would get ruined if soaked in water... and especially tossed around inside a washing machine.

Great quality
Great product. I ride a little scooter out of necessity, even in the winter, freezing cold. This face mask/cap keeps my face, head and ears very warm. I'm very satisfied.

Face or neck coverage, not both
Warm and cute but the face covering/ neck area is very short. If it's on your nose, your entire neck is exposed and vice versa. Great idea, poor execution. Very strong chemical smell upon arrival that was fixed with 2 wash cycles
