Package destroyed upon delivery.
I ordered the unit and was delivered on the delivery day as promised. The problem is that the box was apparently destroyed and taped back up. I opened the package to discover that the heading sensor and the top of the mounting bracket was missing.I gave one star for now as the package was returned same day to Raymarine. I ordered another heading sensor and now waiting for my money back from the first one. I will upgrade the rating depending on the outcome.

Do Not Upgrade to Lighthouse 4
Worked fine until I upgraded to Lighthouse 4 software, then it stopped. My autopilot no longer works. Raymarine Tech support has been helpful, but I still lack a working autopilot and need to send in components a second time.

Excellent autopilot sensor core.
I am using the Raymarine EV-1 Sensor Core together with the p70R control head. This makes for an outstanding autopilot that holds course even in the roughest seas. This setup works markedly better than my old fluxgate-based system. I have my EV-1 unit mounted below decks, and it works fine; no problems with metal causing odd deviations. With the p70R setup is extremely easy, essentially effortless. It is hard to imagine a better autopilot. RJB.
