You WILL have a hard time finding earbuds as good and affordable as these
You WILL have a hard time finding earbuds as good and affordable as these.First, let me say that I'm kind of an audiophile. While I'm not completely familiar with all terminology that comes with sound mixing and such, I believe that I know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to describing sound quality. Second, I might be a little biased because I'm a huge fan of Sennheiser and their products, but they're one of the leading brands in the industry so there's some credibility behind that. These earbuds are by far the best set of earbuds for $60 or less I've ever put into my ears. I also own a pair of Sennheiser CX 150s (discontinued) that I've had for about 4 years now, and until I bought these CX 5.00is, I thought THOSE were the best pair of affordable earbuds that I've ever used, so I definitely had high expectations when I made this purchase. I did some research on Google to see what are the best affordable earbuds on the market today, so I had a little help, and with my personal bias, Sennheiser was what caught my eye vs. most other brands, even Bose. The levels on these buds are just right for my ears and, hopefully for most people, near perfect. They're definitely bass heavy, but don't let that turn you off because it balances excellently with the lows, mids, and incredibly-crisp highs. The ear pieces that come with the package are in different sizes: small, regular, large. I find that the regular size fits perfectly and comfortably in my ear, but if you don't find that comfort then at least you have some options to swap out with! In terms of noise-canceling, they definitely seal a good amount of outside sound from your ears, but there is a slight amount of leakage that is easily able to be looked past. Of course, you would need to turn up the volume on your music to truly determine and experience the quality of the earbuds, so outside noise would be a problem anyway. I haven't tried yet, but I believe these should be able to battle airplane noise. All of that comes together to produce a sound that is so near-perfectly-balanced for any type of music that you listen to, whether bass-heavy hip hop or EDM to mellow indie and acoustic tracks. Basically, these earbuds don't favor a certain genre and are very universal. The flat-wire style is very useful as it reduces the chances of it getting tangled. The volume control and mic remote on the wire works perfectly fine, especially with Siri as this version (500i) is the iOS version, so I'm assuming the Android version should work with whatever Android uses for voice command. Not many people are too fond of the L-shaped connector used on this and most old-fashioned earphones/buds but I absolutely think it's more convenient and protective for your cable than just a normal straight-out-shot connector.Pros:- Excellent sound- Comfortable- Durable- Stylish (at least I think the white one is)- Comes with 2-year warranty in the package- Comes with extra earbud replacements at different sizes- AffordableCons:- None at the moment really, if anything the rubber material that coats the wire is a bit firm, but that's not a problem at all whatsoever. Just personal preference.I'm really not sure why people are giving this 3 stars or less and complaining about different aspects of this product. You all probably got defective units because these are flat-out amazing. Conclusion:These are hands-down one of the best earbuds you can ever buy, aside from it being affordable at only $60. If I had more money I'd buy another pair! You're 100% guaranteed to be better of buying a pair of these than spending $100+ on some trashy Power Beats (yes they are trash, don't let anyone tell you otherwise) or any Beats for that matter. I know the Apple earpods are affordable at only $30 and the sound quality is actually pretty good with those as well, but $60 for these, you will be stepping up your sound game at most-definitely decent price. I can't imagine listening to music without these amazing things. This is a MUST-BUY for anyone who really wants to unlock the potential of their music sound quality without spending too much of the moneys. Sennheiser FTW again!!!

Great Sennheiser Sound, Worst Sennheiser Design
I am using the CX 5.00G primarily for my Galaxy S6 + LifeProof Fre caseI've owned these for 2 months and it's finally time to leave a review.TL;DR: Design flaws are enough to make me wish I can still return them. There are less frustrating earbuds out there at this price range. Or pay up for better.I am not particularly kind to my earbuds. They need to survive in my pocket for extended periods of time.I purchased them to replace my OEM earbuds. I usually just by a ton of the cheap ones at 6 a piece and just whip out a new one when it inevitably breaks after 2-3 months. I wanted a better set, that would last longer. So all my comparisons are to the terrible earbuds that come with the phone.Pros:Sound quality - The CX 500G are about 10x more expensive than the OEM. And I would say I get 8x more enjoyment from the better sound quality. So worth it.Microphone sound quality - Vastly superior. Everybody I talk with told me it was easier to hear me, what did I change?Build quality - Superior to the OEM earbuds. I expect that these would survive close to 2 years. (About 8-10x longer than the OEMs would)Those reasons are why I even bothered to suffer through these for 2+ months.Cons:Design - This is why I'm giving these 1 star. So many things are poorly thought out.L-plug - Dear god why? Who thought that was a good idea? These earbuds are clearly designed for phone users. How many of us have phone cases? I have to use an adapter to plug these earbuds in.The "tangle free" cable - False advertising. This cable seemed extra eager to be tangled and knotted. The buttons - Harder to use that you'd think, unresponsive. You know how on some volume control knobs, you just intuitively know where/what the buttons are and you don't have to think about it? This is the first headset I've owned where I prefer to use the volume control on the phone and unlock the screen to pause/play/etc.The earpieces - I'm not the first to point this out, I won't be the last. They fall off if you look at them funny. I've lost 6 pieces already. I've had earpieces that stayed in my ear when I went to take the earbuds out. They fall off as I try to untangle these. They pop off at the slightest pressure. Did anybody at Sennheiser actually use these before they started selling them? Are these earpieces the 'printer ink' of Sennheiser? Come on now!I have purchased plenty of Sennheiser's headsets/headphones/earbuds. None have ever had these deep design issues. Sennheisers tend to be super durable, the sound quality is always near the top of the respective price points. Never have I wanted my money back for a Sennheiser product until these.Avoid these at all costs. The frustration is just not worth it. If the earpieces actually stayed on, I'd say the price was a little steep but not unreasonable for the brand name. But they couldn't pay me to own these again.

Great pair of Budget Audiophile Earbuds..!
A great thanks to Amazon and Onlinebania seller to help me receive this product from USA in just a week .These headphones are Sennheiser's latest upgrade to their CX 500In the box you will getEarphonesUser Manual4 size of Eartips ( xs,s,m,l)Carrying caseConsidering the price we pay, Sennheiser should have included some more accessories in the box like extra eartips, compact carrying case, ear wax removal tool .These earphones are introduced for Android platform. However the G symbol indicated Galaxy version. Not sure if Samsung had paid to put this , LOL. But these earphones work well in all android devices . The 3 button inline remote has a center button to receive calls, play/pause or skip songs and top and bottom buttons are used to adjust volume. The buttons are neither light nor clicky, but they provide a good tactile feedback and looks durable. I own HTC 10 and these controls work well, especially the volume controls, which generally doesn't work on most phones.DESIGN:Similar to its predecessors CX 3.00 and CX 1.00 , these earphones are in traditional design with quite long metal faceplate with Sennheiser logo embossed. The long faceplate makes it easier in taking the earphones on and off easily. The whole body is plastic except the face plate and nozzle, the build quality is top notch. Pleased with the idea of having a metal nozzle to withstand the stress when taking the earphones on and off. Ergonomics is awesome. The earphones have a 3.5 mm L shaped low profile jack with plastic housing . I didnot find any issues in taking the earphones on and off while using a bumper case for my phone. The earphone comes with Semi Elliptical tangle free cables. The cable noise is also very Minimal. The metal embossed shennheiser logo reflects light in a way that is eye-catchy and pleasant. I like the way Sennheiser pay attention to the small details here.ISOLATION:The earphone are above average at noise isolation as they have vents for bass reflection. You will be aware of outdoor noise coming from bus/train.The eartips are angled and allowed to fit perfectly in the ears and i hardly had to adjust the tips.SOUND:Coming to the Sound quality,Sennheiser are well known for being the world's best IEM Manufacturers. They have tuned this headphone to feel bit bassy and remain balanced as possible. Bass is bit emphasized but it is controlled in a way that it doesnt suppress the mids and treble. It is controlled and you will not feel it irritating even at high volumes. The mids are Clear and has good detail. The treble is crisper and has slightly wide range than mids , but it gives a fatigue free listening. Overall , Sound quality is awesome, you can hear every detail of sound .I was previously using CX 275 earphones and they lasted for 2 years of daily use.I feel these earphones are a good upgrade . I had options of Sennheiser Momentum In ear , Soundmagic E50 and Shure SE112. But after listening to them, i felt CX 5.00 are fatigue free for listening over long time and came closely to my sound profile.VERDICT:If You are looking for an audiophile earphone with descent design with balanced sound, then these are the one for you.If you are looking for Bassy sound profile and cheaper price, go for CX 3.00 .Below are some pictures I've taken, hope you love it.Thank you for reading this far :) If you found my review helpful, please consider clicking the "YES" button.

better than the cx 3.00 but still not as good as the cx300's
tried all of these so you can compare my review of the options from sennheisercx 3.00: comfort=above average. durability=good. bass=average. distortion volume=25%+sound clarity is good up to 25% volume.cx300: comfort=great. durability=below average bass=good.. distortion volume= 90%+sound clarity is 10% worse than cx 3.00 but you can listen to these much louder without distortion.cx 5.00: comfort=average. durability=good. bass above average. distortion volume= 50%+sound quality is about 5% better than cx 3.00. clarity is about the same as cx 3.00 but can be at higher volume without distortion.momentum 2.0: comfort=above average. durability=average bass=good. distortion volume=80%+headphones in general better than cx 5.00 by about 5-10%. clearer bass, clearer clarity. but not the best designed headphone, e.g. earbud design.ie60: comfort=good. durability=good bass=great. distortion volume=90%headphones generally about 10% better than momentum's in every way. bass sounds clear and you can differentiate bass sounds much more clearly. the clarity is similar to the rest of these headphones however you can listen at a higher volume without distortion.

Not an original sennheiser product
This headphones are definitely not originals, I am a loyal customer of the brand and I know their attention to detail, as soon as i saw the exterior of the box I knew I was con, opened the box and the headphones had a very dodgy finishing which confirmed my first suspicion, used them for a coup of times, sound wasn't that great and I thought "ok, that was money wasted " but now as can seen in the pictures it is starting to fall apart just couple of weeks after purchasedWould like to be contacted back and have the headphones replaced for an original sennheiser

Good sound, terrible durability
I tend to look after my stuff well, always kept these in a pouch, never threw them around but less than a year after purchase the rubber surrounding the cable has split at the jack and rendered one earphone useless. The rubber began to degrade (becoming slightly sticky everywhere, and visibly wearing around the jack) only a few months in - I attempted a repair but then the degradation just moved further along - really crap from Sennheiser as the sound is very good from these but just don't last at all. Not worth the money at all, will never return to Sennheiser
