Great subwoofer
I have had this sub since March of 2017. I originally put it in a ported box but switched to a sealed box and it sounds much better in my opinion. Hits hard and still can produce loud bass. For the money it is a steal. Running it at 2ohms at 500 watts RMS, and I push it hard. Definitely recommend !

I am a heavy bass user
If your looking for the best bang for your buck this is it. I am a true rockford fan and i have been "rolling with the punches" for over ten years. I love their t models of course but when it comes to quality sound at an affordable price the rockford p models are what you need. The shipping on this product was a little slower than i had expected but upon arrival everything was quality and shipped good. Of course if your looking into a 15" you will be getting great lows but not so much on the highs. I currently run mine in a slot ported box. Sounds phenomenal. Dual voice coil in the p3 really gives a superior sound. Great product. Dont pass this one up. Sounds even better with the matching ten inch p3s (my current setup 1 15 inch p3 and 2 10 inch p3s all 2 ohm)

This sub hits HARD.
I have this 15 inch subwoofer in a custom box (4 ft^3 tuned to 32 hz) and I am feeding it 500 watts RMS. Set up this way, it hits ridiculously hard. I'm talking cell phone and other objects rattling off of table tops, etc. I am using this with an EQ to get as flat a response as possible. This sub hits down to 18 hz the way I have it set up. When I play a 20 hz test tone at full volume, my eq, which is sitting on top of one of my amps, starts rattling around along with everything else in sight. I also turned it up on a bass heavy song and went around to see how much the sound carries. One floor down and three rooms over and it sounds like being in the bathroom at a club. Although I still have minor tweaks to make, I have nothing negative to say about this subwoofer so far. Granted, I have only had this set up for a few days so I will have to add more to this review if anything changes over time but as of now I could not be more happy with the quality and SPL for the price paid.

Not bad, but not class leading
After having the 10 inch version of this sub in another car, I decided to go for the gusto and get 2 15's and live out my 1990s boom car fantasies. I can say they're capable of said boom, but while I thought the 10 was also capable of clean round bottom end, the 15s are a bit heavy handed, and sound bad unless crossed over very low. Im still working on tweaking the amp to sound right (Punch 1000x1bd) but as I tweak things are improving. I had already reinforced my subwoofer box with 2 layers of 3/4 mdf, but I am going to also add internal bracing as I can still feel a bit of vibration in the box. These will also help you find any trim piece in your vehicle that is not properly attached. I have them in ~1.8 cuft a piece as recommended by RF, and they do not play as low as I had hoped cleanly, but can achieve a clean ~125-130 db at 28-30hz. the 35-80hz range easily clears 140db if you're into that sorta thing. Again, I was REALLY impressed with the 10" version, and would recommend those in a heartbeat, but I dont think the 15" versions are quite as impressive and would check into other brands.

Top notch product. You can't go wrong!
Perfection. This sub is worth every cent and then some. Installed in the right enclosure, and paired with an adequate amp you couldn't ask for more. Rockford Fosgate recommends a 1.58 cubic feet enclosure for a sealed and around 2.66 for ported. Rockville RDP115 Dual 15" Sealed Enclosure 1.58 Cu Ft 3/4" MDF (also sold on amazon) is built to spec if you're looking for sealed. There are several ported options out there. As far as an amplifier goes, I matched 2 of these wired down to 2 ohms each, then hooked them up to a Rockford Fosgate Prime 1,200-Watt Class-D 1-Channel Amplifier amp and these babies pound. I mean chest thumping, license plate rattling bass, and all the while sounding clean and crisp. It's really important to match these subs up with the right enclosure and the right amp, wired in the right way to get the best performance.

First off, you must get this sub if you are looking for one that pounds to the point where you have to look back to verify that you don't have several sub woofers. I find myself shaking my head (in a good way) at the quality and the ridiculous "bass" that the P3D4-15 emits.Pros:1. Hits hard as F***2. The quality of the bass is just phenomenal3. The Plays every frequency from 21 Hz to 200 Hz Clean4. Hits the lows end frequency like a champ5. keeps up with the beat of the track6. Shakes the whole Gas station when I pull up.I only have one of these in my trunk. I am feeding it with 600 + watts RMS. The box has exactly 2.65 cubit ft of air space. It is a ported box by the way. Ported boxes achieve higher SPL and output at lower power levels. For best results get a box built to the specs of the manufacture. This information can be found in your package on online. Just do a Google search.Cons: I have not discovered any yet.

Quality Subwoofer
I replaced two kicker comp 15's with one of these p3 15s. louder, cleaner sound I've never heard a sub as good as this. i am impressed with this sub wired at 1 ohm.Update 5/14/2015Two of these subs are working great no problems. My old kickers used to always turn off. No matter how loud I crank this sub handles it no problem. My steering wheel looks like it is going to fall off, loud clean sound at every note. Anyone that I show agrees that it is one of the best setups they have heard and all of them have systems. I would advise to not purchase this if you are new to bass. Note to self you're ears are going to hurt , fosgates hit hard.
