The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring: Piano/Vocal/Chords

These songs are absolutely perfect. They have been well-transcribed to sheet music; you'll never want to stop playing them! "Many Meetings" may be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard! The sheet music itself includes many full-size, color photos from the film.

I've ordered 4 of these for my piano students, they all love it! But I only have 4/5 because these booklets, along with The Two Towers and Return of the King are lacking vital (in my opinion) bits from the soundtrack. In this book, it's missing Concerning Hobbits, The Ring Theme, Moria, and The Breaking of the Fellowship which are all excellent and super important pieces, a breaker for me. I'd recommend the full trilogy book --.  The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Music from the Motion Pictures Arranged for Easy Piano  because it has the majority of these individual booklets material alongside the expected ones like Concerning Hobbits, the Wringwraiths, and is better arranged from what I've seen from my students playing out of both. However this one is plenty fine to get all the extras a Ringer will want with great photo quality of proper scenes from the film, ranges from almost easy to a good challenge, and gives lyrics for those so inclined.

I got this as a Warehouse Deal so for what I paid, the amount of songs in the book was worth it. Favorite movies and film scores! Thank you Howard Shore for bringing us this music!

The music is great. As others mentioned, it's nice that this is stapled so it can lie flat. It includes one or two songs that are not included in the trilogy song book, but the rest are the same arrangements. I can't speak as to the elvish lyrics being accurate or not, but I like these arrangements even though sometimes you are expected to stretch well beyond an octave in one hand. They're a little tricky like that for an intermediate player.Now on to the physical book:The cover was not laminated, and had some parts of the image rubbed off. The reason I ordered this was for the color movie stills in the item description. You can see from my images that the pictures were all in a faded black and white—no color at all. They were also not centered on the pages, so there were white lines along some of the edges. Seems like not the quality of product that is normally sold. I suspect, as another reviewer said, that this is bootlegged music, if there is such a thing... which is really too bad.I had a similar issue with the Hunchback of Notre Dame book I bought being suspiciously subpar quality. I returned them both, even though they had good looking music. Bummer. :( Amazon please look into your sources for sheet music books. There's something fishy going on—or if you somehow are licensed for printing these yourselves, please use the proper printing materials!

Arrangements are not too complicated and they sound amazing on the piano! My husband was so happy to hear the sounds of Rivendell and the Shire in our house!

I'm a self taught piano player and i really enjoy this book. The music sounds like the movie and is fun to play!

At a family reunion recently, I heard my nephews playing some beautiful piano music from "Lord of the Rings" and the cover of the book they had looked like this one. In sorting through the arrangements to purchase (many with identical covers), and after studying the reviews, I selected "soundtrack piano", thinking this would be the most challenging and interesting arrangement-- most like the film soundtrack as is possible on a piano. I was a music education major in college, so I like at least intermediate level arrangements. I was very disappointed to receive such a thin book containing so many huge movie pictures and proportionately so little music! Plus, I found the keyboard arrangements to be fairly simplistic and sometimes even "empty"/boring. If I can still return/exchange this, I will. Largely a waste of money, if I can't return it. This is why I usually DON'T purchase piano music over the internet unless I've had a chance to review it more thoroughly at a music store first!

Dieses Klaviernotenheft enthält 6 Titel. Für Anfänger sind diese gut spielbar. Fortgeschrittene Klavierspieler werden sich möglicherweise langweilen, da die Noten sehr einfach gesetzt sind. Auch finde ich die Arrangements zu simpel. Sehr schlichte Harmonien, die Akkorde sind oftmals noch nicht einmal gebrochen, die Melodie liegt stets oben im Akkord. Schade, dass es nicht 2 Ausgaben in unterschiedlichem Schwierigkeitsgrad gibt...
