with super clean and bright Focal tweeters and mid drivers fed ...
I am a hi fi enthusiast with a youtube channel (Speaker Builder), and I review hand built speaker systems I’ve been building since the 80’s. In the past year, I have been going through various points in the signal path, comparing amps, speaker cable, and most recently input cables. I currently use Audioquest Ruby cables throughout the signal path in my current system. I am running a three way active system using a Marchand electronic crossover and Rotel 1050 amps, with super clean and bright Focal tweeters and mid drivers fed by discontinued flat speaker wire equivalent to Audioquest FT-4 (see the video “Top of the Mountain”). The system is exceptionally clean, probably a bit too bright for most ears, but certainly reveals any limitation in components and source material. In other words, this is the ideal system for doing component A-B comparisons. I have purchased and tried a wide variety of input cables, including Supra EFF from Madisound, Belden 1192A, Mogami Quad, Better Cables, and several Audioquest cables currently available in the $100 range. I have been swapping out just the one meter cable running from the preamp to the crossover, since it carries the full band signal. None of the cables I just listed could hold up to either the old Audioquest Turquoise X2 I have or the Ruby cables. I had nearly given up trying to find something that could hold up against the Ruby's at the max $100 price point, a self imposed limit based on a stubborn unwillingness to spend more than that on cables that feed $500 amps. Then I found the Oyaide cables. I did not expect much, but I was desperate and willing to try anything. What a surprise. I separately purchased and tried the Class B, Class A and Class S cables, all in 1 meter length. The Class B cables perform amazingly well for $30, well above everything else in that price point, and compare favorably to my Turquoise cables that I spent much more money on. The Class A cables were the biggest surprise. They are plenty bright, cleaner than the Class B’s by just a bit. The Ruby’s sound harsh by comparison. They are also very warm, with very rich bass, much more pleasing than the Ruby’s. After having them in the system for a while, I find I can’t go back to the Ruby’s. They are what I was looking for; very musical. And the overly bright and somewhat annoying highs of this system are well tamed just enough by these cables to bring my system into the “absolutely wonderful” realm. The other big surprise was the identical performance of the much more expensive Class S cables. They had a really nice case they came with, and they performed better than any Audioquest cable in that price range. But why spend $110 for the Class S when you can get the exact same performance for $70 with the Class A’s.

Sound quality.
Sound quality is great. Build quality is great. Good value for the money. Wish there were some color choices, I don’t love the green.

An interconnet for DJ's?
After listening the performance of the Oyaide interconnect for a few weeks, I am very please with my purchase. I have been adding better components to my system (black cube, phone cable from Oyaide, power cord from Oyaide). But I never expected such a great result when I changed my interconnect connected to my VPI table. It seems that this was the piece missing in the puzzle. Previously, I had a forest audioquest cable. But the entry level Oyaide interconnect is miles away ahead from audioquest one. I do not think you can find a better quality at this price point. I cannot imagine how it would be with a cable from Oyaide better series. And this interconnect is advertised as a cable for DJ's? This is a truly audiophile cable. The improvement on clarity, image, soundstage is tremendous. I am glad to find it at Amazon with the lack of products we have nowadays.I will be buying more Oyaid products for sure!

Compact and does not tangle
Love the fact that there are oxygen free copper RCA's that do not get twisted. Very durable, I tried once set just to see if I liked them and ended up buying 4 more after ensuring these were of good quality.
