Fabulous but maybe just by comparison with my gas powered hedge trimmer.
I have three generations of hedge trimmers. This is the very best. Corded electric. Gasoline, now battery.Seems to hold its charge longer than can I hold mine. Cuts through tough branches. Light and easy to maneuver. I can use with one hand. Quiet. I have 150 feet of 6' high hedge.

OUTSTANDING! Works just as good as electric plug in type of BD I have been using.
Works just as good as electric plug in type of BD I have been using. This is wonderful tool, well balanced and easy to lift and handle to cut with. Lightweight, with adjustments on it to fit what you like, Battery that came with it was a 2.0 ah type battery, it lasted about 30-45 minutes first time trimming hedges then second time went beyond 45 minutes, so I am pleased with that. After 30 minutes to an hour I am sick of cutting hedges or shrubs and want to take a break, so I just put battery back on charger for 4-5 hours and ready to go again later. There was no assembly really to this, other then the black protective handle which was nothing, easy to put on and very good directions and I think a tool came wih it to do this if not it was a regular phillips screwdriver if that, cannot remember because it was so easy to put on and immediately slip on battery and go to cutting.I have had an electric 22 inch black and decker corded hedge trimmer for 10 plus years and it is still going strong, only reason I bought this was because I needed one battery operated for when I was not near electric source to plug in and I got tired of worrying about the cord all the time.I am very impressed with this 20 volt tool by BD and I highly recommend it for home use around any home at least 1500 sq feet to be able to cut all hedges and shrubs with one battery of 2.0 ah, if you do more or have a larger sq footage home with shrubs and hedges surrounding it on all sides and your home is larger than 1500 sq ft then you will no doubt need another battery for example 2 of the 2.0 ah types in order to do all your cutting at one time other wise you will run out of juice and have to re charge in middle of your work.Very good quality of tool, not cheap made at all, very durable and works really well, cuts very good.

It's light weight.
I have a Black and Decker hedge cutter with the cord. Used it nearly 30 years. I trust the brand. But the power cord just trips me up and gets tangled in my feet. This cordless charged overnight, is lightweight, cuts like butter, quickly gets the job done, cost less than my old one, is the same size, built to last, has a safety switch, is just the right size. For my long hedge, I never had to recharge. I wish I had bought this sooner. It's hassle free.

Great lightweight hedger!
Lightweight, but cuts like a heavyweight! My 80yr old loves it! Battery lasts long too! Great product!

Absolutely shocked
Cannot believe I’ve been fighting with gas powered and corded hedge trimmers for so long. I honestly never even considered a battery powered one because I thought it would be terrible. My cheap gas powered one was becoming difficult to start and keep running so instead of fighting with it I gave this a try.I was extremely surprised when it took care of my overgrown hedges with no problem. There are times when I hit a particularly thick branch, and it stalls out but I just have to back off and go a little slower on that piece. I am able to finish my 40/30/10 ft fence line with 6ft tall shrubs. The included battery dies about the last 10ft when it is overgrown, but I have several 20v black and decker batteries, and the larger ones last the whole trim, but obviously make it heavier. As long as I keep up with it and don’t let it get too bad the small battery lasts the entire trim. Can’t recommend this enough, especially if you get it for a good price. I understand there is a newer version that may make the stalling out on thicker branches easier as well.Incredibly light weight, quiet, and makes hedge trimming simple and painless.

Impressive
I have the standard electrical version of this trimmer, also. Love them both. Bought the cordless to trim some very large shrubs. I was impressed with the speed and energy of this cordless trimmer. With no cord to get tangled in the branches, the task took far less time. And the trimmer was still energized. Though, it did take a near fulll charge when I plugged it in. Still use the regular trimmer for bigger jobs, but very happy I have a practical and reliable choice.
