Pump didn't work.
I was really excited about this mattress. I pulled it out of the box to get it ready for our guests (who would be arriving that evening) to discover that the pump for inflating/deflating the lumbar support didn't work at all. I read all the instructions and tried to even google some possible easy fixes. Nothing worked. I had to pack it all back in to the box, then run to Target, where they only had twin and queen sized air mattresses. It was pretty disappointing because I really wanted to have the biggest, most comfortable bed for my guests.

A great king size air mattress
First, understand I am a 30+ year mechanical design engineer. You will notice a lot of queen and smaller air mattresses in the market but not so many kings. That's because it's difficult to design a rectangular balloon with sufficient support. The bigger, the more difficult. I bought the Simmons mattress for a guest bedroom. I wanted a king size and was thinking (hoping) the engineers at Simmons were a little better than the few competitors kings I could find. I was not mistaken. This mattress has 2 separate chambers and thus 2 inlets/outlets to the pump. One chamber takes about a third to half of the mattress and is located in the center of the bed (across the width). The other chamber is split between the 'head' and the 'foot' of the mattress with a small channel running between them (surrounded by the first chamber). Simmons calls this a tri-chamber design and the center section a lumbar support section. You can adjust the center to a different stiffness for your butt or hips, thus balancing the pressure on your lower back. Though that's a great benefit and selling point, I'm sure the reason is that having multiple chambers creates more walls within the mattress, thus creating a more stable and stiffer 'balloon'. Think of it as if you were laying on one large cardboard box or three smaller boxes glued together. On the large single box, your butt will fall through the center and hit the floor. On the other, you'll have walls of the boxes at 1/3rd and 2/3rd the length glued together supporting you.The top and the bottom of the mattress have large (flocked) plastic sheets glued to them. This acts as additional sealing to help prevent leakage. In other words, it's like a double seal. The bottom one also keeps the mattress from sliding easily. Some mattresses I've seen may have one side with an additional sheet glued. Some have none (the cheap camping mattresses).I've now had the mattress for 3 months. I bought it for my guest bedroom with the intention of rolling it up and putting it in the closet when not in use. I added a 2" memory foam pad on the top and tried sleeping on it for a week. That has turned into 3 months. I like it better than my $1500 master bed mattress. I've only had to turn the air pump on twice to add a little more air back into the mattress. Even at that, I'm not quite sure I needed to.This mattress is a clever design with quality manufacturing. I am very impressed. One thing to note: Like other air mattresses, it's advertised with the intent of rolling it up or folding it and storing until it's needed (again and again). I think this puts such a mattress at risk of getting holes. If you do this, you may have different results then me. I will eventually roll it up and put it away as well. For now I'm going to keep sleeping on it.

It doesn’t hold inflation in lumbar section.
This is a horrible product. We purchased back in April 2019. It was a replacement for a defective mattress we had purchased earlier. We used it for the first time last night. This mattress has the same defect as the previous one. The lumbar section on THIS one does not maintain inflation either. I plan to return this garbage and request a full refund . I will not order a Simmons product again.

Best Inflatable Mattress
We have a guest room and the former queen size bed took up most of the space, which made the room unusable when we didn't have guests. We got rid of the old bed and bought this Simmons King Size Beautyrest inflatable mattress. We tried the mattress out and it was amazing. Felt like a conventional bed. The adjustable Lumbar support is really great. the built in pump has 2 knobs, one for the Head /Foot chambers and one for the adjustable Lumbar support in the middle of the mattress. There is a deflate position on the pump which quickly deflates the mattress for storage in the bag that is included. Now our guest room can be used for other purposes when we do not have guests.

Did not provide lumber support
Very bad mattress. After trying it for 3 weeks I plan to return. It caused me back pain. I had to get actual mattress. I do not recommend.
