Excellent detail
Excellent detail and nicely molded parts that includes lots of the details that make a model stand out. Drawback is the instructions, particularly the rigging section. Not well done so previous ship modeling experience is a must. Highly recommended if you're looking to create a hight quality model and enjoy a challenge

Needs patience and a large working surface.
At first, I was thrown for a loop when I saw the directions. All in French…but with my experience, I looked at them as another challenge. The I found the English translation on the last page. The directions came on large sheets about 1.5 x 2 feet. It was a booklet of about 20 sheets. I made an extension on my work table just for these directions. The last page in English covered all the French directions. I was glad I did about 10 or 12 ships prior to this one in order to get a handle on all the nautical terms for each mast, spar, line, sail, and shroud. I kept a log on my progression. When I was done, I found I spent over 400 hours on painting alone. The entire ship took me over 2,000 hours total! I’m glad that I’m retired & could spend all this time on it. I have on display in my living room window and when I’m working on my front yard, people that are walking by stop by and are amazed that I BUILT it. It is museum quality if you don’t rush the process.

Used kit!!!!!
Product was an older kit. Had been opened, and a few pieces were missing. The only reason I did not send it back was because, if I did send it back, I would have had to wait another three months, and maybe gotten another used kit.

Broken parts. Trying to get them replaced
Shipping and boxing seem inadequate. Beautiful model otherwise. This one has a well detailed and colored instruction book, better than the Victory, but if I can't get a hold of Heller for the parts, I'll have to return the whole model. That's a lot of shipping cost for them, back and forth, but ...their choice.
