Awesome!
I was a little hesitant to buy because other activity books we have bought just give pretty generic ideas we’re already found with a quick google search or that we’ve done. This book has a lot to offer and definitely unique. Buy it!

These activities aren't for toddlers!
This book goes over general milestones for 12-36 month old toddlers at the beginning of the book, implying that the activities are suitable for those ages. My daughter at 2.5, being pretty advanced, still cant do most of these. I would recommend this book for ages 4-7 or so. The activities are for kids who know the alphabet really well, can easily identify written numbers, know their colors well, have a vast and accurate vocabulary, and have very accurate fine motor skills- for example, telling your "toddler" to fill in a grid with various designs, like squiggly, dashed, and diagonal lines, small triangles, polka dots, numbers, and letters. Another activity is to hang up signs with different letters on them, call out a letter, and have your toddler squirt that exact letter with a squirt gun. My daughter can hardly use a squirt gun because that requires a lot of finger strength and accuracy. Another activity has the adult filling multiple bins with different material like cooked noodles, cotton balls, bubble wrap, and then having the child step from bin to bin, and you're supposed to ask them how it feels on their feet, and they're supposed to come up with adjectives like bumpy, squishy, fluffy, gooey, slippery, etc. I can't imagine any 2 year old saying those kinds of words without an adult feeding them each one verbatim. Each of these activities also require a lot of effort on the adult's part in setting up and then facilitating, then cleaning up, usually for only 5-15 minutes payoff. These are not independent play style activities, if that's what you were looking for. They are set up to be adult led at every step. I think the IG Busy Toddler is much more useful than this. In a couple years I'm sure my daughter will enjoy these, but for now it'll be sitting on our shelf.

Fun games, busy ideas, for indoors. Great book. Tons of ideas. like, Duh why didn't I think of that!
I got this for my grandson who is 4, and we have cool, fun playtime in the backyard. The book has so many great, simple little things to do. He loves it. When it is not raining, we can use the ideas in this great book. It helps when he is the only child among grandparents. Mommy and his Uncle. Plus with the quarantine, it gives him lots of great play ideas and a little purpose too. He needs to be a kid. He thinks he is Boss Baby, so this really helps him do more age appropriate games and quests. The author(s) did a good job of coordinating games for decterity, thinking, problem solving, and just plain fun. We also bought the Toddler Rainy Day Book which has many things to do indoors that are also very simple for him and clever. He really likes playing the games and he is quick to learn the object of these as learning tools. He is ready for pre school so these books give you many top notch things to keep himself and us busy during this sad and trying time. Thank you for having these books at our fingertips.

A skeptic is pleasantly surprised!
I admit I'm usually skeptical about these kinds of books. I find that either the materials are too expensive or difficult to find or the activity itself isn't that fun for kids (or maybe it's just my kids!). But I took a risk on this book at the start of this shelter-at-home pandemic phase, knowing I needed some help finding things to do with my three-year-old and five-year-old. You can see I've tabbed quite a few of the pages and have done almost all of those activities! I've included a couple of the activities we've tried that have been big hits. I've also tweaked some of the activities to just use what materials we already have or to be appropriate for an indoor activity. Not every activity in this book is relevant for us (or this season) but I'm still happy I took the chance on this book and I would recommend it!

wonderful book
I really like this book! some of the activities are silly (like stomping in a puddle after the rain) but if you want to really be active with your baby you can make an activity calendar and attache it to the book. I wish the author attached more pictures/drawings to activities especially since there is enough room to do so. I would have given it 5 stars. I do love the book and will recommend it

Great buy, especially for kids 5 and under
I got this for my 2 year old but my 4 year old enjoys the activities too. I'm really pleased with the ease & simplicity of the activity set up, and my kids enjoy doing these. The activities have been a great jumping off point for imaginative play. My older kids are able to set up and run some of the activities too, and they love playing "baby sitter" with the younger ones. The skills taught are perfect for this age. We also bought Toddler activities made easy, which is a great companion book.

Wonderful, age appropriate activities. Easy set up and clean up.
The children had such fun watching the colors move along the paper towels, from glass to glass. It was magic. Jars, paper towels, food coloring, and time to watch the action. Definitely will be doing this one again. Children's ages were 1 year to 5 years. Oh, what fun!!

NOT an environmentally friendly outdoor toddler activity book
I don’t like this book. It doesn’t consider the environment so I massively regret my purchase. Activities are over reliant on plastics especially single use plastics. They is an activity that encourages using glitter in the snow. Lots of the activities could be done indoors as it feels like some ideas are actually indoor resources just bought outside. I’m hugely disappointed as I thought an outdoor toddler activity book would have a huge focus on using the outdoor environment respectfully by teaching parent/teacher and toddler ideas for caring for the environment through thoughtfully planned outdoor activities

Not eco-minded
I really don't like how it suggests using sequins and glitter in an outdoor context. Not environmentally friendly. Quite supply heavy. Returning.
