strong and easy to cut
I recently used Duck Brand Self-Adhesive Drywall Repair Fabric for a DIY repair project, and I have to say, it worked impressively well. The self-adhesive backing made it easy to apply directly over the damaged area without the need for additional tape or adhesive, which saved time and hassle. The fabric feels durable, yet it's lightweight, so it blends nicely with the wall once joint compound is applied over it.One of the standout features is its flexibility—it conforms well to different wall textures and shapes, making it useful for small to medium holes or cracks. After applying, I was able to cover it with compound, sand it down, and paint without any issues. The repair feels sturdy and looks smooth. However, for larger holes, this product might not offer enough support on its own, so reinforcing it with additional layers or using a patch kit might be necessary. Overall, for quick repairs and small jobs, Duck Brand Self-Adhesive Drywall Repair Fabric is convenient, easy to use, and provides a lasting result. Highly recommended for DIYers looking to tackle small wall imperfections on their own!

Durable, good adhesion and performance; good value for the price
I'm very pleased with this drywall tape. It has much better adhesion than a "no name" brand I tried. This sticks well, but can still be pulled off easily if it needs to be repositioned. I used it to tape the seams of a repair job, and it worked very well. It's thin enough that it's not a chore to hide it under the joint compound, but still thick enough to provide a good backing to avoid cracks. It's wider than I needed for the seams, but was easy to cut in half. Very good value for the price.

Great for do it yourself projects!
I had large holes in a hollow door where screws for a towel bar had been removed. I decided to try this product as an experiment to conceal the holes. The tape can be cut to whatever size is needed which is quite convenient. I cut pieces a bit larger than the holes then applied the tape over the holes. It adhered well. Then I applied spackle over the tape. The mesh tape allowed the spackle something to grab onto. I let this dry completely, applied another coat of spackle again allowing a day to completely dry. I used a light sanding pad over the areas, then applied paint matching the door color and “Ta da!” problem solved 😊 You can’t see where the holes were at all. Looks great!

Wonderful!
This was great for filling a hole in the wall, that was pretty big I might add. Very easy to use and works great.

Worked great to cover up holes in my wall
I bought a house where the person had left places/holes in the wall to attach speakers, but then ended up not doing it so there are just a lot of holes in the wall that need to be covered up. I got this, and cut out the right shape and then put joint compound over it and it worked great. Much cheaper than buying individual patch kits. Very pleased. It is not perfectly thin so there is a slight raise in the wall where it is, but it is hardly noticeable. If you want this to be completely invisible probably you should get something a little thinner, but for me, this worked great. Overall pleased.

Works really well
I had to repair an 8.5 x 8 hole in my drywall, left by a plumber. I used two pieces of drywall to work around a protruding pipe, but needed to seal all the seams. I used this tape, cut it down to the appropriate sizes, and followed the directions. It worked really well. This was my first drywall repair, and I’m shocked by how much better it looks than I expected. I didn’t expect the tape to disappear well, but it really did with successive layers of spackle. It was easy to trim around nearby obstructions, and it stayed nicely stuck for the most part, especially when I learned not to scrape against the edges too hard. Whatever I scraped up stuck right back down, though, and as my technique improved, it looked even better.I’m now thinking of using it to refine the ugly holes around some adjacent pipes... not like I don’t have enough to do or anything, but I love the clean look this helped bring back to my laundry room!

Need Joint Compound
Right off of the bat, one of the biggest issues is that the description does not match the instructions on the back. You do, in fact, need joint compound, as well as other tools. This was a little irritating, because it differs from the description. However, I still gave this product three stars, because it did what it was supposed to. It helped patch over the holes in my wall. It was rather simple to use, which for someone like me, with no experience, was nice. I ordered two boxes, but turned out to only really need one at the time. Of course, it worked better on small areas, but I didn't have too many issues covering larger holes either. It does however take several strips, and I ended up using spackling to help cover the wholes. The drywall mesh is large holes rather than fine, and it made covering it a bit difficult. The fabric does have a bad habit of sticking to itself, and mine tended to shed flakes into my carper. Easy to vacuum, but a bit annoying. Overall, I think this was a fair product. I wouldn't rate it as great, but it does what it is supposed to, and the price is reasonable. There's really no reason I wouldn't order again if I needed it, especially since I know to order joint compound with it now.
