I'm in a KISS tribute band and the bass player clips his strap to his bass, so these made a perfect replacement for the stock strap holders.

The do just what they are supposed to do.

As you can see from the photos, these are thinner than a #8 and have sad threads that I wouldn't trust to hold a large butterfly. You can feel how light they are when you pick them up. Maybe they're metric, maybe they're just cheap -- made in China, enough said. I paid about $42 for 6 packages of these -- 60 screw eyes for a project. As soon as I opened these I knew they were going back. Ran to a big box store and bought a package of 50 for $9, and you can see how superior they are to this product. Don't waste your money on these.

They are stainless!!! They are steel!! They are Eye Hooks!!!! They are of a Size!!!

Not as advertised. They are plain old zinc coated eyes that quickly rusts when exposed to outdoor weather.

These are not #8 or stainless steel. They appear to be 4mm and made of chineseum. That is the material that is sold as stainless, however rusts and is magnetic.

When I received these they looked suspiciously silvery and shiny. Sure enough when I tested them I discovered they were plated and not stainless steel.
