Delta Faucet Shower Arm Diverter for Hand Shower, Chrome

I replaced the water diverter that I got from Home Depot with this higher quality DELTA water diverter. Naturally I have a shower head on one end of the diverter, and a handheld shower head with 6 foot hose on the other output. You can switch between either the shower head, or the handheld shower head. As with other diverters, you can also send 50% to the shower head, and 50% to the handheld shower head, or any other percent division. This water diverter comes with a thick rubber washer on the water source end of the diverter. This thick rubber washer does not leak, unlike my other Home Depot model. It is overall well designed, and I am 100% happy with it's functionality and finish. The diverter lever is smooth and effortless to turn 90 degrees. All threads are well formed, and the threaded pipe lips are all smooth, not sharp, which helps to prevent small water leaks. I currently have attached the shower head and handheld shower head hose to these threads, without using "Teflon tape", and there does not seem to be any leaks. The water diverter input side with the thick rubber washer is connected without any Teflon Tape, and it does not leak either. Roger Louie 9-4-2020

This is a decent piece of hardware that makes it simple to add a detachable showered to your existing showered setup. It is easy to install and has continued to work flawlessly since installation (I will update this review if anything changes. The one thing that I don't like is that there is no setting or click for when the water output is split 50/50 between the two shower heads. Previous shower head splitters like this have had a notch in the middle that allowed you to know exactly when you had the water set to 50/50, and I wish this splitter had the same feature. Sure you can guess, but that involves looking at the knob (sometimes not easy for short people) and figuring out when it is half way between its range of motion.

I bought this to replace a plastic diverter that failed. It's heavy chrome plated brass and I expect it will last longer than me. The diverter valve is smooth and easy to turn to activate my handheld shower. Great quality.

Perfect for our needs

Not one to write reviews but this item impressed me...no flow restriction, in fact I immediately noticed a dramatic increase in volume and force of the water compared to the Glacier Bay it replaced. It helps of course that it is paired with a very old (1930s ?) American Standard showerhead I found in my grandmother's cellar when she died back in 1991- from the good old days before water restriction was a thing- but again, that plus this is way better than that plus the Glacier Bay one. Also, the diverter lever works smoothly and I much prefer it to the "pull up on a knob" type, which was clunky. Lastly, I expected that I would need to reinstall it once I picked up some Teflon tape, but to my surprise there is zero leaking as is. Happy customer.

Worked very well, easy to install, zero leaks, and very easy and lots go to use. I used it for adding a wand shower to my showerhead. I wanted to make sure that I didn't get yet another one that leaked and you can't go wrong with delta

I purchased this Delta 2-way valve to mount behind an existing shower head in a built-in shower, and connected the 2nd outlet to a KES I3250 Extended Length Replacement 100-Inch OR 2.5-Meter Stainless Steel Interlock Handheld Shower Hose, Chrome and a Hiendure 304 Stainless Steel Square Handheld Shower Head Spray Face 4*3.15 Inches, Chrome . Delta plumbing fixtures have a well-earned reputation for quality, and this valve is certainly a good example. It threaded easily onto the existing shower-head pipe at head height, and the shower head and stainless hose fitted on nicely, without the need for excessive force to make watertight connections. Neither the connections or the valve are showing any signs of leaking after months of regular use. This is not the least expensive 2-way valve available, but its been problem free, and feels as if it will give years of good service. It's a product I'm very happy with, and would buy again if I do another similar installation.
