Great for moving prep.
I bought this book as a gift for my toddler prior to his first big move. It's sweet for young kids who might have a difficult time with their belongings going into a box and the people who might come and help move things. It lets children know what to expect and normalizes it in a simplistic way. It also helps provide a talking point about what positive new things your child might find at their new home.

Practical and relatable moving story
I like the way that the story is written from the perspective of the pup. It mimics what a small child who is less verbal may go through during a moving day. We appreciate that the story ends on happy note but it may be tricky if a child is relating to the story and then moves to a home without a backyard...but maybe a park instead would be just fine.

Sweet book that clarifies the moving process
I bought this book for my four year old, Kaitlyn, and I to read since we will be moving twice in the next few months. We're moving from our house to an apartment while our new house is being built. And hopefully we'll be moving into the new house before Christmas. Since she's only four years old, she's been a little confused about the moves and thinks that we will have all new things (and toys!) in each new living space. So, I guess it would be fair to say that Kaitlyn identified well with Boomer the dog. She loved that he was clueless as to what was going on. The fact that movers came to pack Boomer's family's belongings up was a big plus for us, as we are having packers as well. Kaitlyn loved the illustrations (and I did too!), especially the faces Boomer and the family cat make as the move progresses.Boomer's Big Day was such a sweet book. I believe that it helped clarify a few confusing things about moving for Kaitlyn. Besides that, we both really enjoyed it! There are other Boomer books and we will definitely be reading more of his stories.

Cute
Very cute and easy to read digitally. However, book never really explains what happens during the move. It’s all from the dog’s perspective, which is cute but doesn’t describe what moving is.

Boomer's Big and Confusing Day! Wow!
I enjoyed this story and I believe anyone who enjoys dog stories will also enjoy it. Well illustrated and flowed very well. The only thing I disliked was the tiny PRINT used and no way on an android that's most readers would know how to enlarge the print may find it very difficult to read as well. But otherwise it wad well done and so this is why I am giving the ebook five stars. I highly recommend this ebook though at this point with very good eye sight or older person too who loves a short dog story like I do.I received this ebook for free from an ebook email and in exchange for it here is my honest review. Good Job Constance!By Angela L.

Big Help with Moving
I got five books for my four year old granddaughter when her family was moving to a different state. This was her favorite book out of the five. My daughter said the books really helped ease the anxiety of moving.

Just what we needed
This book was perfect preparation for my child, who has attachment difficulties, as he coped with a move to a new house 200 miles away. It helped him be able to make sense of the situation and to have some idea what to expect. On moving day he even carried our dog’s ball to make sure it arrived at the new house safely.
