It is aesthetically beautiful and delicate. I wanted a little something artistic for my office desk. It is so much smaller and more delicate than I imagined, but I am not upset about that. It reminds me so much of intricate Japanese art. It took a long time to get here but worth the wait.

The letter opener arrived within the correct time window in perfect shape and was what was described. It is a little hard to actually use, though. There is not a very Sharp edge so it doesn't rip through letter as easily as I had hoped. I usually have to poke the tail up through the letter multiple times to fully open it and sometimes ends up looking just as messy as when I open them by hand. Very cute but not the most functional.

Cute and doesn't take up space. Pretty color.

I gave this as little gift stuffer to a family friend who is also a bird lover and does wood working as a hobby. He was thrilled with it and told me that it works very well as a letter opener.

Even though, it listed the dimensions, it felt smaller than expected. The "tail" end broke at the first time I tried to open a box. So I would say, great for letter opening, not for package opening.

very sweet desk accessory - bought it for my daughter's first year at college to open her "fan mail". She loves it.
