Received it just now
Received this book earlier that the expected time, that's why I love amazon. The book's build quality is very high and pages are very good. It looks like some sort of pocket book, somewhat larger than a pocket book and we can finish this within few hours. I will update my review regarding this book soon.

I was really impressed with the aesthetic of the book - nice illustrations, colours
Full disclosure - I gave this as a gift and didn't read it so I can't analyze the content. But Rob Knight is a leader in microbiome research, so I am sure from a scientific point of view everything in the book is sound. I was really impressed with the aesthetic of the book - nice illustrations, colours, paper bond, etc. Made it a really nice-looking gift.

I highly recommend this book and Mr
I watched Rob Knight's talk on TED.com and was fascinated. This was a quick read and added well to what he spoke of in his speech. It's largely about the microbes that inhabit your gut, the things that affect that (good and bad), and what the Human Microbe Project is learning with their research. I highly recommend this book and Mr. Knight's speech. It's all new and previously unknown so fun to learn about. I trust what this book has to say more than others because he doesn't add unknown things and readily admits what scientists have yet to figure out. I'm actually feeling annoyed that the research isn't as far along as what I want to know, kinda like an author not having written the next book in a series.

Molto interessante
La miglior evidence sugli effetti peraltro ancora praticamente sconosciuti o molto poco conosciuti dei batteri che popolano il nostro intestino, ed il loro rapporto con la nostra salute mentale e fisicaMolto interessante.

Great Introductory Book - well worth reading
Great little book written by someone who really knows what he is talking about. It is more an introductory book - partly because investigating gut microbes is, surprisingly, very much still in its infancy.Do look at The British Gut Project http://www.britishgut.org/ which links with the American Gut Project, at talks by Rob Knight and others on TED.com (can start just with Gut Microbes in the search box) and the book by Prof Tim Spector of the British Gut Project " The Diet Myth" which has a wealth of related information. The latter mentions a number of studies including the China Study and comments about them.NB all the versions of this seem to be the same book despite there being 2 different covers shown on Amazon. The alternative cover may just be the cover for the Audio CD.The kindle book is much cheaper but this is a fairly small book, easy to fit on your bookshelf, and nice to read in a physical version.
