Using these for pre filtering of maple syrup. The filters melted and broke through when pouring hot syrup through them was around 200 deg f when pouring. Not food for this application. Not sure how well they would work for fryer oil either. Did not hold up well

Fair quality. Some oil does have to be hot to pass thru filter. E.g., peanut oil.

Very large size, it fits my extra large funnel. I use it for filtering gasoline from dirty motorcycle fuel tanks.
