These were great for grout if: - Your grout is the right consistency. Laticrete pre-mixed worked better than Mapei pre-mixed. - The lids are securely in place. If not, they can leak with the Mapei. - You’re laying large format tile. We used this on 4x16” subway tiles and 14x16” hexagons. - You like easier clean up. There’s less grout haze and other nasty stuff to deal with because you’re only applying grout where needed. - You have a pair of grippy gloves. These are a must for getting the lid on/off. (I used the shop vac extension tube to push the stopper out the top.)

It's a good idea to cut a ring of plastic to use as a tool to get the plunger out. For the smaller size I used a piece of house vac tube. Once cut it can be placed back in and then the plunger can be squeezed out. The result is a mess with all the drywall compound, but it helps get things in the gaps.

A nice alternative to traditional grouting, especially for tile with uneven surface, ridges etc. However, given the make up of grout, it can be a challenge. Use cold water for grout mix for rapid sets. Tip size vs thickness of grout, trim accordingly or mix slightly more water. Don't be surprised if its a single use and toss. It is very challenging to recover the insert/ pusher once you are at the end of the tube.

Worked well a couple times then split at the head cap. Ended up replacing with a brand without a removable head.

Great reusable caulking tubes that can be filled with a variety of materials. I used grout in one of mine to regrout the tile in my bathroom shower. Worked great and was a lot quicker and less messy than using a putty knife or trowel to apply the grout mixture.

Good for easy flowing materials, but not good for cement.

Used these to spread glue on vinyl tiles. Fast , easy and no mess!

I tried using these with a wood filler compund. Both of the trials I had, the tube bursted in my hands. Right next to the writing that said "Patent Pending". The quality of the material is very questionable. On another note, the tip of the tube is thicker than a regular tube due to the overhead. The manufacturers kept the volume same as regular same sized tubes, thus the resulting tube ends up being slightly thicker. It didn't fit in one of my caulking guns, so I had to use an open ended caulk gun.

Good idea, should be a lot cheaper.

This is useful in two ways; for gunk that is not supplied in caulking cartridges such as filler or grouting paste and to get the remains out of a cartridge that has hardened where the nozzle attaches. It is easy to clean unless the material is adhesive in nature and can be used again and again as long as the components are cleaned before storage.

Need to playaround with what ever you mix and put it. then it flow like a seal tub bough from a store. I am using as grout for tile, need the right texture for the good flow, but once get use to it, the corners are way easier than pad aplly.
