REDCAMP Mini Alcohol Stove for Backpacking, Lightweight Brass Spirit Burner with Aluminium Stand for Camping Hiking

This stove is a great value. It’s compact, well built, and works fine. Testing it in my kitchen using HEET (99% methyl alcohol), it boiled a pint of water in about 12 minutes after lighting (11 minutes using a homemade windshield that concentrates the heat on the pot). I was able to make a delicious bacon and egg breakfast in 19 minutes, about the same time it would take on y electric kitchen range. I’ve had no leakage problems. The O-ring between the stove and lid seals really well, and I get a nice blue flame that blooms in about 90 seconds. BTW, if f you are getting a yellow flame in an alcohol stove, something is wrong.

This alcohol stove is pretty standard in size and quality to similar stoves on the market. Price wise, it's on the lower end of the scale. I like that it came with a combination pot stand/wind breaker. It also came with a very nice drawstring carry bag that stops most of the rattling, protects the stove, and keeps everything together. All of the parts seem to be sturdy and everything fits together very well. The first time I used it, it lit easily, and bloomed quickly. I use the yellow bottle Heet as fuel. It works just fine with this stove, and is available in lots of stores. The pot stand works well with larger pots and skillets, but if you want to use a small cup, or a Stanley cook set, you can turn the pot stand upside down over the stove, and then you have a nice area to set smaller cookware. The pot stand is only mediocre as a wind break, and alcohol stoves really need a good wind break, so I use a folding aluminum one, but a home made foil one would also work well. Overall I'm as happy with this stove as I am with my more expensive name brand stoves. I keep stoves in various emergency kits, and camp gear kits, so I get to make comparisons between the different brands. So far, this stove performs as well as any of the high price stoves. If I need another one, or want to buy one as a gift, I would definitely buy this one again, and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a good camping, or emergency kit stove.

I couldn't find my metal canteen cup so I used a very small sauce pan to boil 11 oz water. I gave up after 25 minutes. The water was hot but it never boiled. Everything else about the burner is ok. It's sturdy and the serrated edge grips the pan well. It is light but not high country backpack light. The cap is convenient to keep the alcohol in the burner until next use. It's a good alcohol stove but I'm going to look for a hotter burning stove for my survival bag.

Burning at 91% alcohol and still going strong!The quality of this thing is pretty damn good considering the price, I initially thought the burner was folded in aluminum which worried me but it's indeed copper which is a good thing as far as durability and longevity is concerned.And the other thing I absolutely appreciate about this thing is that it burns like hell! Give it about 10 minutes to initially warm up using 91% isopropyl alcohol and you'll be smoking shit with this thing like hell! Which is an understatement to say the least, and the flames this thing produces are absolutely Ginormous! for its compact little size! Which is quite the spectacle!So overall pretty damn good performance and decent construction quality, well worth this purchase.

i bought this as back up for emergencies.i have propane heat and cooking, but this was cheap and i liked the look of it, fuel being available in many outlets was another factor, i tested it on generic 1% alcohol from H.E.B which was $2.25 for 32oz at the time, boiled one cup of water in five mins, took 12 mins to boil 3 cups, total fuel used was one ounce, very impressed with it, doesn't like windy conditions at all but that is to be expected from a non pressurized fuel source, fried an egg in a single egg small pan in 90 seconds, get's very hot, my opinion, for the money, convenience of fuel, many options for a spirit burner) the light weight, 100% worth having, i am going to purchase more as gifts, could be a life saver this product.

Me encantó, luego luego que llego y antes de tiempo previsto!, la probé calentando leche y haciendo un huevo y con solo 1/4de alcohol hice ambas cosas perfectamente y me quedo alcohol todavía, me encantó su peso y diseño!

Super cool little stove for $20 bucks.. stand fits good and doesn’t get hot.. Little gadget to adjust and/or extinguish the flame works pretty slick. Runs forever on hardly and fuel. Haven’t stored it with fuel in it but looks good and I’m pretty sure there wouldn’t be any seepage issues. And comes with pretty decent little storage bag. I’ve only used methyl hydrate which is available in 4L jugs at any hardware or auto parts stove. Burns clean, hot and no suet. 4L would probably last u like 4 years. Hardly burns anything

Much lighter than similar products and burns hot. Time will tell if it is a durable. The stove stand needs a wind shield if you are thinking of using it outdoors and, like virtually all such stands, it is too wide to accommodate mugs or narrow based pots! .
