Huge fan of Jan Adkins books for all ages
Absolutely anything written or illustrated by Jan Adkins is worth buying and reading, in my opinion the guy is a national treasure for the world and the sailing community in particular. I doubt I'd ever have even become a sailor without his sail primer. The world this man writes about is the world I dreamed of living in when I was a boy with nothing but his books and my imagination to go on.That aside, this book when coupled with his other title 'Moving heavy things' is full of how to get stuff done when all you have is a little bit of rope and a can do attitude. The applications are limitless. Anyone who goes through these pages and gives it an even cursory flip through comes out a better, more capable person.

Easy to understand knots
I've always wanted to understand how to knot. I can't explain why. But, this author explains the logical progression of knot tying, making it so easy to understand the dynamics. The illustrations are fantastic and the descriptions of uses and history compelling. This is the only book about knot tying that anyone should read. I can't say enough.

Libros que todo hombre necesita
Los libros de este autor son magnificos, encontre algunos errores de edicion en las instrucciones de los nudos pero realmente lo disfrute, va de la mano con su otro libro moving heavy things del mismo autor
