Works perfectly!!
I had the frets removed in less than ten minutes. This tool works very well. The flat pieces protected the fingerboard from excessive splintering. Expect a few small chips in the fingerboard; every “how to” video warned about it. Using this tool kept the chipping to a minimum.

Nipped It
Worked as advertised. Nice clean face against the cutting edge for a flush cut.Handles are a good length for proper leverage. Seems to be made well from initial use.

Probably not great for cutting hard materials. Great for P80s
This is what you want to finish your 80s. On mine the edge was straight and sharp, no sanding was required for a smooth finish. I loaned it out to a half dozen people. Now a diverse group of 6 are no longer obligated to become martyrs for the current popular home invasion-celebrating ideology. Sure it's made in Mordor. Sure Mordor just attacked us. Who cares, X-uh I mean-Mao-uh I mean-Sauron has inadvertently provided us these tools of liberty. Spread our rights around like butter and remember who wants to take them.Using it to (very) gently grip a tiny piece of steel distorted the edge immediately. Best used for it's patriotic function. Keep it dry friends and remember to always bury extra.

Pulls and nips frets like its supposed to
Pulled some beat-up frets out of a partscaster (strat) neck I've used for years -- needs a full refret -- these pulled the old ones out with ease, and didn't damage anything -- less costly than Stew Mac stuff, and does the job -- not knocking the quality of Stew Mac -- when you need the best tool, they have it -- but you pay more for it.

Chipped on the first fret I cut
They advertise as able to cut stainless steel frets yet one clip of .108 x .051 jescar stainless steel fretwire and it destroyed the edge. Not very hard tool steel won’t last at all. Tried to cut some nickel silver fretwire to see if it would handle that and it also damaged the edge. Not as bad but still damaged it. I’ve done hundreds of refrets with the clippers from the “sm” luthier store and not a single nick. Someone bought this for me as a gift. Sad to say it’s a waste of money.

Cuts well
I can't attest to the use of this tool in removing frets, although I expect it would do a fine job. I got it to work on polymer80 frames to remove the tabs on the top. It does that job extremely well with a nice smooth cut right up to the edge, reducing the amount of work required considerably. You can check out MarineGunMaker on youtube for how that process works if you are interested in it for that application.

Not the best
A lot of times these nippers wouldn’t cut through the fret, so it just pinched them and I would have to either go at it again or do a wiggle move to rip the piece off. That’s not desirable if the fret is already seated. They did not work at all as fret tang nippers. No matter how hard I squeezed or how many times I tried, they only scored the tang. I would then have to rip the scored piece off with pliers and the tang and/or fret would be bent. Because the guitar didn’t have a bound fretboard and it was so difficult to do with these I just gave up.On the positive side I was able to use these to remove the old frets without damaging the fretboard.
