Frayed and broken wire loop
This item was excellent for several months. I bought two and gave one to another engineer I work with. The wire loop attached to the removal has frayed and broken. I tried to add some wire loops but they are too ridged. I would like to be able toPurchase ONLY the bottom clip on piece with the wire loop. Unit still works great except for the broken wire loop.William Crockett

Saltwater Corrosion
I was hoping I would like this product and it would tolerate being used while kayak fishing in saltwater. It has not. The carabiner is corroding after only a few usages.

Great concept
Great concept! I'm having trouble getting it to lock easily. It's taking two hands to get it to lock, seems like it should be as simple as using a tape measure lock which is done easily with one hand.

Great for my rangefinder
I use this to tether my rangefinder to my quiver, for outdoor archery. Rangefinders aren't cheap, so it needs to be protected from being dropped or lost. This tether feels sturdy and extends more than enough to raise the rangefinder to my eye. I got this one, because it has a locking mechanism, for the cord. The locking switch is VERY stiff, which is my only issue with this product. But it is the best tether out there, as far as I am concerned.

I would not buy one of these again for something like this. It is definitely made for lighter objects ...
I bought this tether because it was supposed to be heavy-duty. I have it holding my cellular phone because I dropped mine and it was broken The tether does not retract fully, apparently because the cellular phone, but it is not that heavy of a cellular phone. I would not buy one of these again for something like this. It is definitely made for lighter objects that my cellular phone

About the best badge tether I could have asked for.
Originally, I wanted a replacement for my work-issued badge clip that was a bit more durable. I bought the small rotating clip model, and used it until it began consistently letting go of me. I then sprang for this version, a large carabiner model. Unlike the small, rotating clip version, this large, carabiner model actually stays with me. The carabiner is relatively secure; playing with it, it doesn't seem there's a way for the belt loop to work its way through the spring, which has a good push to it. So I definitely recommend the carabiner, even if you think you'll hate it.Between sizes, I also have to recommend large, even if you think it'll be excessive. The small model only has like two feet of cord, which was quite aggravating. With the large, there's plenty of cord to work with. Compared to my work-issued retracting badge clip, the large model has a good foot and a half more, while the small model has like a foot less. It makes a difference.Initially, I thought this clip would look dumb because of how big it is. I just wanted a more durable equivalent to my work clip. But when I clip the carabiner to my belt loop, the majority of the device is hidden, and the very bottom of it hangs down to the part of my pocket where the small clip would have been. This is nice, because it leaves my badge clearly visible without itself being visible, so it doesn't have the opportunity to look like overkill. And as it happens, the small clip itself is about the size of dome sticker on the big clip, so this clip really isn't THAT much bigger, anyway. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. Save yourself my mistake, and just hop right into the large carabiner model.

Awesome Product!
Awesome Product! Of course i will have to do some of my own modifications for my personal use. If you have an iphone 6s+ and the unit is clipped onto your belt loop and you pull out the phone and it drops from your hand...i falls to the distance of your knees only! I was doing a lot of reseach and no one has posted something with this info on the height drop..maybe i will to help some folks out...Great product, although a little pricey, but your phone is worth more!

secured the gear....for the most part.
I do want to say that this T-reign holds my flashlight well and has a strong retention for when my light slips out of the holder or when I let it go for what ever reason. the only problem that I have with it is the hook on the top to secure the devise to what ever I need it secured to. the spring within the device must have been a bad one because there is little to no retention to keep the little finger-thing in place so every now and then the T-Reign falls off my belt. I am trying to think of a way to fix this but I feel that unless I super glue or JB weld the part that can open I feel that there is nothing I can do to prevent this from happening again. other then this one issue, I have nothing negative to say about it.
