I love this shelf. It was easy to put together, very spacious and the quality is great. I will say that it does seem to lean and not stand as sturdy when placed on carpet. This however was very easy to remedy. I placed a command hook on my wall and then secured a clear zip tie to the metal safety hook on the shelf and then hook that onto the command hook that is attached to the wall. This secured the shelf to the wall nicely, without having to actually drill into the wall to secure it. You are not even able to see the command hook when looking at the shelf straight on so I was pleased with this hack. However I wouldn't recommend doing this to those who may have smaller children in their house. But in that case, the shelf does come with a safety strap that can be bolted into the wall. Nice piece for the price.

I ordered this for my living room. It was super easy to assemble. The quality seemed nice. I really liked the color and it looks great. I’d say the only negative is that it isn’t very sturdy. It twists very easily and is not sturdy by any means. If you just look at it and don’t touch it, it’s great!

The shelf is beautiful and matches my other furniture and decor. It’s very easy for one person to assemble it without much effort. It’s sturdy and holds a lot of items.

Saying we were disappointed is an understatement. The description clearly states the material is WOOD. There is no mention anywhere that the bookcase is fiberboard or manufactured wood. One of the main reasons we chose the piece, was it's description. There are may manufactured wood items to choose from... We also did not receive the correct hardware. We went on and assembled it using some of our own hardware as there was an immediate need. I really feel we were duped or tricked by the description. Manufactured "wood" is usually a mixture of sawdust and or byproducts mixed with glue which makes the so-called "wood" very heavy. We are seniors and handling this to assemble was difficult. When the supplied hardware was used as the instructions indicated, screws applied by hand, not with electrical drill, the "wood" split in several locations because of the cheap product. The item is overpriced for something that is not real wood. We will not return the product because it's too heavy to move around and disassemble, but we feel we should be compensated for the deceptiveness displayed.

This shelving unit is pretty, but when it comes to substance, not so much. I read other reviews and many did mention the stability issue, but I thought maybe they didn't put it together right? So, I decided to get it anyway because the price was unbeatable. I do like it, but it's a reminder that you get what you pay for. It was super easy to put together, and it felt sturdy laying flat on the floor, but as soon as we moved it upright, it was a weebly-wobbly mess! Other reviewers mentioned needing to reinforce it and I will have to do the same. The instructions even say, "if the unit sways, put heavy books on the bottom shelf to stabilize it" LOL! So, there you go. At least they are honest about products functionality. Hooking to the wall will also help, but I haven't done that yet. So, is it aesthetically pleasing? Yes. Does it look nice in my office? Yes. Can I use it? No. Not without some seriously heavy books or some MacGuyvered additional supports. Will I return it? No. I'm keeping it and will make it work. Not worth the hassle. Would I recommend it to others? If you need an affordable shelving unit and you or someone you know is relatively handy to help create some additional supports, then yes, I would. If you're looking for a solid piece that stands on it's own with no other help, then keep looking as this is not the piece for you.

With the understanding that this is compressed board furniture with wood veneer, W.E. products are high quality in my opinion. Good design and workmanship. With other companies, on lighter veneers like this white oak, I've seen chipping and apparent defects from production but not with this bookcase. Instructions and parts were both higher quality than I have seen with other producers.

Literally so cute & it’s pretty sturdy! Great wood quality. It is a LITTLE wobbly but it’s honestly fine and if you have kids I’d probably utilize the mount. I looooove it.
