I'm using the Songmics 15" ottoman/storage to replace my poof foot rest. Very sturdy, easy assembly & very comfortable as a foot rest. The ottoman is very attractive~I picked the camel brown & it is gorgeous. Matches any color scheme. It is also easy to keep clean, better than my old material foot rest! Storage is an extra. I have also turned the lid over & used as a mini table for my drink/items I use during the day. Another added bonus! I added furniture sliders to the bottom. I highly recommend

... The perfect size for our recliners as the extended leg rests were too short to keep our feet from dangling over the end causing poor blood circulation and subsequent charlie horses in our calves. We are so thankful for the correct height (15") and no more muscle spasms because of droopy feet! The storage feature, is a great Bonus feature too as is the fact that this foot support is affordable, attractive,sturdy, foldable,and easy to move and store. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT PRODUCT! We love it!... I am ordering a second one right now....

I bought this ottoman/storage cube to store my pup's toys in -- and thinking it would double as a footrest was a good idea. I have found it is ideal for toy storage; at night, all of his toys go into the box and keeps the clutter out of the living room during other times, but easily available at play time. As a storage box it is strong and very well made; I think it's a good value for the price -- the exterior faux leather is soft and very good quality -- and it looks really nice! With its smart looks and dark color it is unobtrusive, so it blends well in the living room.When this very thin box arrived, I was curious to see how it all fit inside -- basically the shipping box contains the lid and the entire cube fits nicely in the lid -- yeah! amazing. It takes seconds to put it in shape and, again, I was very surprised how sturdy it is; I can not imagine it would ever collapse. The enclosed paperwork does say it is rated at 300 kg, and it might handle that -- but I don't think I would test it (or too many things) to that level -- it is probably based on setting an item squarely on it under testing conditions -- I don't think a 600 pound person could sit on it without breaking.It has a lining inside which adds to its nice looks and quality feel. As an ottoman, it is a bit too high for my sofa -- about an inch shorter would have been perfect; but it is nice for the recliner. But height aside, it is very comfortable as a foot rest and very well padded. Even though I thought I would give it 4 stars due to the height, I decided that the pro's outweigh that one element -- and every sofa is a different height so it may not be too high for others.

The corners of the lid split after a few days. I was standing on it, though, but that does seem kinda flimsy for what it's supposed to do. Still, it wasn't that expensive and was able to handle me (200lbs+) standing on it without issue, so it is sturdy enough. I'm still using it, so I guess I can't complain too much.

I’ve had a number of these over the years, usually buying them at Target. This is the perfect size and provides adequate storage for a number of things in addition to being a great ottoman/footstool.

These come folded you unfold them put the bottom in and they have a really nice lid on them I got three or four of them I love the things are great for storing stuff in and they're great as a footstool with buy a bunch more if I had room for them

I just received my black SONGMICS Cube Shaped Storage Ottoman. I'm very impressed! It arrived in a flatbox, but quickly folds out to a cube. Next, you insert the bottom square into the cube. The bottom immediately stabilizes it. The lid then goes on top. Considering the price, the lid looks excellent...not cheap or junky in the least. I did not detect the common strong chemical smell of some new products, but the instructions say to keep it open for 2 to 3 days to air it out so there's no scent at all. It doesn't seem necessary, but I'm doing it just to be safe.This cube is a wonderful upgrade from the makeshift stack of heavy shoebox-sized photo boxes I had been using by my couch to hold my TV remotes. This cube, unlike my photoboxes, would be a great foot rest. And unlike my shoeboxes, I can put a tray of food and drink on top of the cube with no worries of it tipping or sliding. It is also very strong and can take a more than two hundred pound person. Good to note that the instructions caution you not to drop down forcefully on it. I would say this normally only comes into play if you have children, especially teen boys. I also cannot say how the faux leather on top would stand up to cat or dog scratching, but that's more than any piece of "furniture" should be expected to survive.I don't immediately know what I will put inside the cube for storage, but I'm thrilled to have one more place to stash afghans or boxes of candles.Great product. Very well built and very well finished. I'm so happy with it!I highly recommend this product. Though I cannot say how long it will last, my first experience makes me expect I will have it a long time.

Looks great and it's sturdy. I can actually sit on it and it doesn't lose its shape.
