Good Quality Aluminum Construction
Was reluctant to buy this based on $$ and the variable reviews. However reviews on others of this type seemed even worse. The brackets are in two pieces so are a bit harder to mount than a single bracket set up but are pretty heavy stamped metal with a broad range of adjustment and a solid attachment to the unit via a groove in the back. The unit is pretty light so I had no issue with the bracket setup. I wanted to mount it on the wall over a work bench and the switched plug which also runs the shop light is on the ceiling so a remote was a big plus as I did not want to get on a ladder and plug or unplug the unit every time I used it. When powered off by turning off the switch to the light and heater the unit defaults back to off which was also a big plus especially in the summer time. The unit is angled at 45 degrees about 4 feet high off the bench and provides a sense of warmth very quickly which is important since on same days I might only need to do something for 30 minutes or less at a time so a full garage heater is kind of worthless. In a three care insulated garage it heated the area around the bench up by about 3 degrees per hour with 50 degrees out side. The unit arrived as expected but the batteries that came in the remote were leaking acid already so I suspect the unit had been in storage for a while. No harm done to the remote as it is plastic. I suspect many folks are disappointed in this type of heater because they are expecting too much but for my purpose it worked great and looks pretty good too. Bulb life is rated a 12000 hours so with my usage it should last a long time.

unusable product and abysmal customer support
I am not in the habit of writing one star reviews, but the combination of unusable products and abysmal UFO customer service leave me no choice.I purchased two UFO UK-15 heaters with tripods for use in my house, based on a positive experience using one of these heaters in my garage (I purchased that heater several years ago).I discovered one problem right away: if I tried to run a heater at H4 (they have 5 heat settings, with H5 the highest), it would shut down almost immediately. However, the heaters seems to run OK at H3 and that was sufficient for my needs. That did not last long. Within two weeks, both had gradually degraded to a point where they were useless or nearly so. At first, a heater would shut down on H3 after about 15 minutes. A day or two later, it would shut down on H2 after about 15 minutes. Finally, one heater would shut down on H1 after about 7 minutes. The other could be run on H1 (only H1), but the writing was on the wall...I contacted UFO customer support by email and was unable to have a useful conversation. In hindsight, I was probably interacting with a bot (or a human acting like a bot). I got a series of three canned responses, none of which acknowledged anything I had said in my messages. The apparent goal of these canned responses was to tell me that there was no way I was going to interact with a (knowledgeable) human unless I sent them a short video showing the problem. Right. A short video showing a heater shutting down at a time of its choosing. Had it gotten to the point where UFO acknowledged the products being defective, the cost of shipping them to UFO for replacement or repair would have been on me. (I returned the products to Amazon.)

Powerful Greenhouse Heater for the Price and Size.
I use this to heat a 10’x13’ green house that is 12’ at the highest point. Although it’s my first few days of using the UFO it has done well. It maintains an ambient temperature of about 72 when the outside temp is 44.It has the power I need at a decent price. It’s silent and the light from the heater is minimal. I’m hoping that the hype is true and my power use comes back much lower than it was with a traditional forced air heat pump.Draw backs: It doesn’t have a programable thermostat and the manual isn’t very helpful.

Good heater
This heater works well. I was leary of the "orange glow" but this is not a problem. It is compact, makes no noise, heats up quickly (as in 10 seconds). It seems well made and I am glad I got the remote control version. Mounting was no problem. I looked at infrared heaters extensively, and this one is a better price, uses a standard plug (not hard wired), and is better looking. Be aware that if you are not in the direct path of the light, you don't feel the heat. Mounted at 7' high, it casts out about 7 feet, but the first 2 feet directly under the unit you feel NO HEAT. If I had another circuit, I would put two heaters up for better coverage.

Cheap, barely heats, stopped working shortly after purchase.
Its a piece of cheap junk. It worked for a few short months at only minimal operation before it just stopped turning on and working at all. When it did work you had to be within 5ft of the thing to feel any beneficial heat. GARBAGE paper weight now cool, thanks!

The best infrared heater on the market
I was looking for a heater for my outdoor kiosk, and ordered UFO the moment I saw it on Amazon. It's a company from Turkey which has triumphed over it's market with it's quality, energy consumption, and heating properties. It costs more than the competitors, however it has a patented technology and will put any other brand in shame. These units heat objects, not the air, just like sun's radiant heat. it's a healthy way to get warm. They are water resistant, and can be used outdoors. The grill is made of an alloy which does not get hot, so you can touch the grill at full power. It comes with installation brackets. The stand is sold separately. It heats where it illuminates, so make sure to get the right width for your needs.I tried this smallest unit on a windy night (42 F) in Orlando:@ 8 feet it had no effect@ 6 feet you feel a bit of heat@ 3-4 feet keeps you warmWind affects it's performance as it cools the objects the radiant heat supplied by the small unit. Better to go with larger and more powerful units for such conditions. If you have a patio with no wind problems, the small unit will easily heat 8-10 feet away.
