Ineffective Hair color
My hair is light brown. I ordered the dark brown shade, but It did not change my color at all. This hair dye is wonderful and a healthy way to color, but is not effective at changing the shade of your hair. :(

good stuff
I really like this product. I've used it twice and am just about to order it again. I don't think the smell is bad - it's certainly better than what's used at a salon. I started using it because my scalp is so sensitive. If I go to a salon the product burns my head. This doesn't. It covers all the gray. Lasts for about two months - by then my hair has grown out and I have roots anyway.

Great product
I have been this product for about 3 months now and have been very happy with the results. I use the medium brown and it has a very nice color, smells better and lasts just as long as most other haircolor products on the market.

Great Product but Horrible customer service!!!
The color works, after you play around a bit and find the right formula. However, if you need to reach the company........crickets!!! Hard to do business that way

Barely made a difference
I wanted to like this product because it sounded like it would be almost good for your hair. I bought medium brown (my normal color) and followed directions exactly for my hair condition - applying to roots first for 30 minutes then refreshing the rest of the hair with a diluted version for 5 more minutes. Medium Brown was more like light brown, plus it did not cover grays at all. So now I have brown hair with Very Very light brown/silver-streaked roots. Not the result I'm used to from other medium brown products. I would try a darker shade but I am not convinced even that would cover grays. I believe I will go back to Water Works.

amazed
i use as many natural products as i can. this color covers and there was no allergical reaction. the developer is peroxide. my hairdresser and i were very impressed. the color lasts 6 wks and is true to the on line swat. just purchsed my 2nd bottle.to get the other colors offered you need to click on the swat icon and click on the color what you want to purchase. then the item and billing page appear.

If you can handle the odor this might be okay
So I read the reviews and am left wondering if perhaps I'm reviewing a different product???? The only person who mentioned smell said it wasn't bad. WOW...to me the smell was overwhelming. I REALLY wanted to like this product. I had been using Naturtint but heard Ecocolors was gentler and more ecofriendly so thought I'd give it a try. Their online support was wonderful. I consulted with them on what color to purchase. I had been using Naturtint 7N (Hazelnut brown), which in my hair gave a reddish hint. I like the red so wanted a similar color. EcoColors suggested combining half and half - light brown and medium brown. So while I was bummed that I'd need to mix 2 colors to dye my hair it was no biggie. Plus you use the unused half the next time. Anyway, my first impression was - NO WAY was I putting this stuff on my head. It smelled god awful. Then I read the online FAQ at EcoColors and they discussed that low/no odor doesn't mean it's safer. Naturtint has almost NO odor. I thought the FAQ made some sense - smell doesn't always indicate safety, so I gave it a go. All went okay and it didn't seem to irritate my scalp much. I stopped going to salons because salon formulas made my scalp burn and itch. The color was okay - not as shiny as Naturtint, less red - more brown, and the EcoColors dye was more liquidy and harder to apply. Naturtint is a gel. I was still somewhat on the fence. Tonight I used the second half of the dye I originally bought though and the itching and burning are back. That with the AWFUL smell and runniness of the product have convinced me to go back to Naturtint.....or just go grey and live with it!

Color not true
I bought medium brown, it was more of a medium blonde. Maybe if I bought a darker color I might have achieved the color I actually wanted, the color that was actually on the medium brown box, but that's doubtful. Not worth it.
